I was just talking about this with my husband yesterday!

On Kidman, I think Scientology straight up broke up that marriage. They hoped to fully convert her and when it didn't succeed they convinced Cruise to throw in the towel. I think she was blindsided and then had the full power of Scientology's attorneys unleashed on her to orchestrate estranging her from the kids.

The Holmes story is the one where I'd really, really like to hear the details. It's obvious that at some point she came to the realization that she wanted out. I want to know how/why. It's been very widely reported how her father basically extracted her from the entourage that Cruise/Scientology constructed for her. But the real secrets, that I don't think we are ever getting, is what did Katie Holmes legal team have on Cruise/their home life/Scientology for her to negotiate the settlement she did, retaining primary custody of Suri and reducing Cruise to a Disney dad. That is information that Cruise never wants made public.

As lea remini said, cruise believes he is "clearing the planet" so I am sure there is a superstructure there of various delusions and probably other disturbing behavior.

But Blake and Ryan distanced their relationship from Ryan's divorce via PR relationships, so most people didn't make the connection and leave Blake with the "other woman" stain for the rest of her career.

Exactly. It wasn't Blake's first time with a married costar. But it was the first time she decided that she wanted a promotion to wife status, and that's why they went through the trouble of covering it up.

I agree in general, but they have three kids and she is probably keeping his career more buoyant than it would be without her. If he's smart, he'll let her do whatever she wants on the side so they can remain a power couple for as long as possible.

I can buy that she wasn’t pregnant with Trig because there was so much weird stuff there, but who’s his real mom then? The math wouldn’t have worked for it to be the older daughter I don’t think. Bristol had her kid in December of 2008, and Trig was born in April of 2008.

There is absolutely something weird about Trig's birth. Did she not tell people she was pregnant because she originally planned to abort or adopt out the baby and then found out she was in the running to be McCain's running mate? Or was she really not pregnant -- even some of her friends and her security person have said that they don't believe she was pregnant. That said, the whole weird flight/drive/etc while she was allegedly leaking amniotic fluid is even weirder if she wasn't pregnant... If she was just covering for someone, why wouldn't she just fly home and then say she went into labor? Why would she make all of that up (which among other things made her look like a completely unfit parent who could have killed herself and the baby)? It's just so... odd all the way around.

I don’t think she was in the running to be McCain’s running mate until the 11th hour. She had plenty of time to get a secret, quiet abortion while she was still just the obscure governor of Alaska. I guess I could buy that Trig is the son of Track and whoever his girlfriend would have been? But that seems weird somehow too.

I will buy that you can can pretend to have a baby that your daughter actually had, but I don't believe you keep that secret outside the family.

All that said, I think she's just a wackjob that got on a plane and that baby is actually hers. I am dying to see if she can win this Alaska house race. I heard some NPR segment today where the reporter said as of Oct 2021 Palin had a 56%/31% NEGATIVE poll rating in Alaska. Gonna be lit.

I'm open to the idea that they might not be 100% straight (and therefore that he might've been caught in bed with a guy), but she previously dated Grant Hill and married Will in 1997 because he had already gotten her pregnant. And since then she had the affair with August. Maybe they're both bi or something, but I think their relationship and love is real, although it may be more professional/platonic after all these years.

I think so too. I think there’s a lot of famous people who just f around in general with men, women, whoever. A lot of negotiated non-monogamy and also a lot of cheating.
