What's bad about what is on the laptop? Please be specific.

Someone already answered you, but this is something you should know yourself. A little bit of intellectual curiosity would do you well

If you had anything to say you would have said it when asked directly. You’ve got NOTHING!

DP. The best person who can outline the damning information on that laptop was someone who was directly involved with Hunter. That is Tony Bobulinski.
And, fortunately, we have video of an interview with him when he laid out the evidence. Watch it.

This is a portion of the interview:

Bobulinski lied. The Wall Street Journal researched all of that and found it was all bullshit. Bobulinski & Gilliar were shady hustlers who offered cuts for Hunter & Jim & “the Big Guy” for using the Biden name in China, but Hunter & Jim wised up and shut it down.

https://www.politifact.com/article/2020/oct/29/tony-bobulinski-hunter-biden-and-china-explainer/

The Wall Street Journal reported that the deal fell through; SinoHawk never received money from or completed deals with the Chinese oil company. According to the newspaper, Hunter, Joe Biden’s brother James, Gilliar and Walker were also involved — but there was no role for Joe Biden.

Sure.
We'll see what happens when some of these news organizations revisit this story and actually investigate the claims. If they do.
Given that this story was summarily dismissed without any kind of investigation, I am skeptical about claims made by Politifact and others.
When the media tries to convince the public that what they see is not true and they try to suppress a story, skepticism about their claims is certainly founded.

You mean like this?

No, not like this. Any actual examination that does not reach the conclusion that the right wing wants it to reach is not valid. Those are simply the facts.

The Laptop has become self-aware, is a member of the Congressional progressive caucus, and is committing crimes on its own now. Tucker Carlson will talk about it on his show tonight.

I hear Tucker has an exclusive interview with THE LAPTOP. Judge Jeanine is providing refreshments.

Are things too peaceful for you? Do you hate living in a country with a leader who actually gives a sh*t so much?

Knock this crap off already. We've had enough.

Have you read the emails?

10% for the big man.

They are all fake. Including the fake child sex ring BH was “running”. Even Rudy dropped it….even Rudy….

Was this before or after The Masked Singer?

Sorry I didn't post a /sarcasm /parody disclaimer.

You have to be blind not to see that Huber and James Biden aren’t selling access.

Can you rework this?

What’s absolutely laughable is that the Trump kids were selling access. And you didn’t care.

Can we all agree that we need to enforce existing laws or advocate for new ones that prevent the close relatives of any president from benefitting from that presidents office?

Just to refresh everyone's memory, these are some of the ways that the former guy's daughter and SIL benefitted from his time in office.

I think time and some good investigative reporting will also reveal that the former guy's SIL used his position to ingratiate himself with the Saudis as a way to procure future loans/funds.

Do you want to see him go to jail? Are you hoping that Joe will be implicated and will be forced to resign? What is it that you are hoping for?

Oh, and since I'm asking, do you feel that Ivanka and Jared should also be investigated? If not, why not?

Sure, investigate them all.
I want other people to acknowledge and accept (and talk about) the fact that major US multimedia companies (Twitter and Facebook, etc.) summarily dismissed a story (and banned a paper - the Post, but still) that has been since proven true. Just the fact that it is Hunter’s laptop was not allowed to be discussed and that should be a huge deal.
I want people to make sure that we don’t allow the media to suppress or misrepresent facts and eschew accountability. I want people to think of the implications of this beyond Repubs.

I want a pony. And Machine wants collegilal compromise.

In the real world, the alt-right have overtaken so much of the Republican party and media that nonsense cannot be allowed. Twitter and Facebook wised up. Eventually.

In the real world, aka not your imaginary world of "alt-right" taking over the Republican party, the laptop and how it was handled is extremely damaging. People have no faith or confidence in the media and big tech. And now it looks clear key government officials also deliberately lied to pretend the laptop was "Russian collusion," people increasingly also have no faith or confidence in the leadership of the government. Twitter banned any discussion of the laptop for, what, two weeks, as misinformation. Be very honest with yourself: had this laptop been Donald Trump Junior's, would twitter have done the same? You and I both know the answer is no.

You'd have to be blind to not see how bad this appears to the rank and file public. But I also know it's pointless pointing this out to certain posters on DCUM

Exactly, We have 51 former intelligence officials writing a public letter claiming this was Russian disinformation. Without a shred of evidence for that claim.
Great intelligence there, geniuses.

And, people wonder why we don't trust the US intelligence agencies.

I just wonder if there was any coordination between the Biden campaign, the tech companies, the media and any of these so-called intelligence officials to ensure this story was buried.

DP. "Rank and file public" to you means Republicans to the rest of us. I don't think that Democrats have lost faith in the mainstream media.

If by "people" you mean non-Republicans, I don't think they wonder where that distrust comes from; they KNOW where it comes from. They know that part of Trump's m.o. was to sow distrust of the CIA, FBI, Justice Department, State Department, and pretty much any government agency that didn't obey him. A corollary was to create distrust of the MSM and the elections process. So if people are told not to trust federal government agencies, not to trust the conventional media, not to trust the integrity of elections, not to trust anyone who is not a Trump-supporting Republican, not to trust science and the CDC, then WTF is left?
