I haven't heard from my boyfriend since Friday night

I'm glad you got whatever psychological fix you needed filled, OP.

OP, for your sanity, link this thread to website feedback and ask Jeff to lock it. Your ex pulled a runner.

You need to move on.

The trooper told you that they "have an alert out for him in NY and the area in PA where he said he was going", but you told the PA poster that he'd given his grandparents the name of a PA town that doesn't exist? If it doesn't exist, how can the trooper claim to have an alert for "the area in PA where he said he was going"? Does it exist, or doesn't it?

OP here: The town he told his grandparents he was going, does not exist. Trooper told me they have an alert out for him and his truck in NY and PA.

I would hope there is no evidence. Why would someone's mental health problems need to be publicly identified.

You have probably had a very sheltered life. I know plenty of people who have had weird stuff like this happen to them. It's more common than you probably think.

You got burned, but you dodged the real bullet.

OP you have a kid?!? Have you posted about other relationships before?

OP here: Umm...no i dont have a kid.

Exactly. OP knew that this thread had gone too far and some of us were realizing that some of the pieces simply didn't fit. There is absolutely no evidence that he exists.

She had no problem identifying Uncle J yesterday for all of us. She's crazy like a fox.

For those screaming troll, I don't think so and here's why. A few years ago my niece's step dad went missing. The mom was not close to anyone at all in his family despite having been together for years. They wouldn't tell her anything even if they knew. A week and half later a farmer found him. He had committed suicide.

OP, hopefully that isn't what's going on here and I didn't post that to scare you. I just wanted to show others that shit like this does happen in real life. Add in the long distance relationship and there's lots of room for lies etc.

I am sorry, and hopefully you find out that he moved on in a cowardly way, but is actually as ok as he's ever going to be.

OP, so sorry for the worrisome update from the troopers.
Earlier I was rereading the early pages of your thread and I found it interesting that he had made a point of saying to you that he needed to bring along extra clothing and supplies because of the possibility of getting lost in the woods. Given that he gave you and his grandparents different bogus stories, and given that he wanted to plant the idea in your head that he could go missing in the woods... it does sound as if he wanted to drop off the face of the earth, not as if something bad has necessarily happened TO him. Small comfort, I know.

Also, on a completely unrelated note: to the many PPs who keep being surprised that the guy has almost no Internet presence: stop already! I actually have a number of family members who have had very active lives but have almost no Internet presence. I don't know why. So what? It just shows what a warped sense of the world you have, nothing more.

My advice as an editor: fix the plot holes before sending this one off to the publisher.

Are you forreal? And to just leave everybody in this world who actually cares about him wondering about his whereabouts? If he has the right to do it, we all have the right to criticize him for his selfish actions.

This is the woman who was a nanny for 3 years. Doesn't sound like someone I'd want in charge of my kids. Unbalanced to say the least.
