Anonymous wrote:Fun fact: starting goalie at SR overtook starting position of NCS goalie in club (MDDC) in MS. NCS goalie went to Cap, she stayed at SR. I think it’s safe to say the SR goalie is superior. But both are good, not knocking on NCS/Cap Blue goalie at all.

For that reason, it would be fun to see a match up unless this bullish goalie takes the SR spot.

The only thing about this take is that mnddc is known for having minimal specialized goalie coaching, with the exception of one of the former 29’ coaches and another one. Plus the rep of the SR goalie coach is also unsteady. She’s a great goalie but has no opportunity to improve if she doesn’t get specialized coaching, which we all know the dad won’t get.

Pretty sure most if not all of the starting goalies in ISL use private goalie coaching. Many of them the same coach as my daughter uses. Don't know the particular dad here, but agree about the SR goalie coach.

The former 29' goalie coach is AMAZING! Great role model for the girls and an SR alum. (Not a SR Dad)

A doubt anyone is purposely trying to lose for seedlings. At some point they will have to run into GC and it will all end.

I woke up to your dumb comment. The PP didn’t say they lost on-purpose.

Say what?

Is the St. John's HC really coaching with a baby strapped to her chest? Is she a single mom?

Imagine the mentality of observing a mother who is clearly committed to both her child and dozens of young women, having a negative reaction, and then degrading her on an anonomous lacrosse forum.

I legitimately feel bad for this person. They must be incredibly unhappy and empty inside. Hopefully it doesn't affect their spouse and children too much.

This is so niche. Too funny.

1. GC
2. PVI

So it's a 3-way tie for 3rd. That's really all that matters wise because 4th and 5th have to play each other anyway and then GC in the semi. Although home field will be interesting. 3rd will get O'Connell and the knowledge of avoiding GC until the championship.

Draw results:

SMR 3rd seed
BI 4th seed
StJ 5th seed

It's actually the first time I've seen this. I can see how it could be looked at positively and negatively. Multitasking is good as long as your team is winning. Coaching is her job.

True and the 9-8 record is impressive.

Outstanding coach. SJC lucky to have her. That said, 9-8 is not the extent of their ambition or expectations within the program.

I pride myself on my nicheness just like he prides himself on drinking during his daughter’s games. 😆

She was a good goalie, but as a goalie coach? She’s meh at best and has a horrible favoritism problem.
