Your post was removed due to repeated name calling. But you demonstrate the value of content moderation. It often causes those who post inappropriately to either clean up their act or move on.

So-called “hate speech“ doesn’t kill anyone. Having some troll drop the N-word for shock value might hurt feelings, but people survive hurt feelings. Anyone who has made it to adulthood as a black person can survive hurt feelings. It’s white people that are fragile and don’t want to see other whites post hateful things lest you have to admit that your relatives are hateful.

In the process of privileging your daintiness, white people are making it harder to surveille the kinds of racists that will one day try to kill a black or Jewish person. You’re driving them into more and more remote corners where they’re talking only to those like them and are able to hatch plans and pull them off without being reported.

In the end, the only people benefiting from censorship of “hate speech” are the hysterical white liberals who make a living from writing and profiteering off black pain.

You're wrong about that. Hate speech is a gateway. Hate speech is about dehumanizing people, and diminishing the value of their lives. If people take a mindset that some sector of their fellow man is not human, or not equal to them, some will fine about taking advantage of them, harming them, preying upon them, or trying to eliminate them outright.

Hate speech harms.

I don't get how, in 2022, we still have to explain why it's immoral to treat others like shit.

It's not about morality, it's about having the freedom to say what you want to say. Fox News spreads hate and discontent. MSNBC and BLM supporters say hateful things about police officers all the time. People make hateful comments on literally thousands of websites every day. How are you planning on silencing these people?

A private platform can amplify it or not allow it. If they do allow it, that is their choice, and the consequence is loss of users and advertisers.

So do I.

Because hate speech is not protected speech.

Why do they need to be silenced? The real issue is that no one owes them an audience. Let them go back to waving bibles on street corners, screaming about end times.

If the site owner wants non-crazy users and advertisers, then they need some moderation. A total lack of moderation on the internet has always turned into a cesspool that no advertiser would touch

Dylan Roof went to a black church and shot a bunch of people because he had been indoctrinated hate speech.
Ridiculous to say there aren’t consequences to it.

Exactly. Spend 5 minutes on Fairfax Underground and you can say "defense rests".

These two are not the same (even though I do not agree with your second statement as a fact). Fox news spread hate and discontent against minority groups. MSNB and BLM supporters saying hateful things about police officers (I do not see that happens all the time) is not targeting minority group. Power structure matters. Whites being racist against blacks is not same as blacks generalizing whites as oppressors. People who both-sides are complicit in ruining our country!

Then don't listen to them or follow them. It seems like people are either following these nuts or are obsessing about them by following other people who are amplifying the voices of the nuts by complaining about them.

Do you think that Twitter won't have any moderation? Elon has been in charge for a few weeks and is very unpredictable, so who knows. I don't see it as a problem if there is no moderation. If it turns into a cesspool then people will just use another app.

Just like I don’t want some crazy loser at my dinner table, social media companies can choose who they want on their platform. No one is owed an audience. No one is owed a platform. Let them build their own followers on gab, truth or Fairfax underground, or start their own website. I avoid those people by not visiting those sites. Advertisers and users don’t want to deal with that level of crazy. The internet is huge. Let them go elsewhere.
