It’s honestly so gross. No one wants to see these old ladies act like this. |
Yeah we know. |
I do. |
I am trying to parse out how much of this is my own ageism (or that I find Miranda to be really unattractive) and how much is that it’s just bad writing etc. I think it’s mostly the latter but also some of the former (even though I’m only a little younger than they are!). It always feels to me like these characters actually stopped living when the show/movies ended and now they are in 2022 NYC, like Dorothy or something. It’s all very bizarre and unappealing. |

Fine but IRL people who need hearing aids later in life do NOT scream and seem befuddled all the time. At least not after they get the hearing aids! It's a very ugly and unfair portrayal of disability TBH. I think they're depicting Steve like this in order to legitimize Miranda's cheating. |
I have this feeling too |
What the heck did I just watch? It feels do disjointed. Would they really auction off a date at a school fundraiser? I'm asking seriously because I don't have kids. |
The only glimmer of fun was when Carrie and the date walked out of the restaurant laughing. Then the vomiting ruined everything. |
Then you probably shouldn’t bother watching, because a lot of the target demographic is those (older ladies), and plenty do want to see these kinds of storylines instead of pretending their lives ended at 38. |
It was just so weird and ott. |
+1 The character is like 55, not 85. And would even the boldest overprivileged teenager speak to her boyfriend's parents like that? |
+1 I mean seriously, did you hate watchers think this was going to be a Golden Girls reboot? I mean even Blanche was trying to get laid on the regular. |
All of them were trying to get laid on the regular! |
