Trying to bring this thread full circle. sounds like the general consensus is:
1. This club is mid-range in terms of competitiveness and talent 2. It has all the problems that most area clubs have (pay to play, favoritism, toxic culture, no accountability etc) 3. It also has some uncommon problems (lecherous leadership, failing administration, lack of quality coaches, etc) 4. Their business model brings out some very strong feelings and appears to be faltering (condition of greatest asset is going down) 5. Supporters of the club are happy with the pay to play model In summary, this club is for parents who want to pay money for their child to be involved with soccer. This is not a club for parents who are looking for opportunities for their child in soccer. |
They know and like us they dont care about what consenting adults did. |
| I think "lack of quality coaches" is a pretty common problem across local clubs |
This sounds like a response from parent who pays extra money to get ahead of those who are deserving. Get out of your Revolution bubble you CC sycophant! |
It’s not just that they’re bad at what they do. They take out their anger and frustration on young girls and even retaliate. If they ever coached boys, some of those teenage guys would call them out immediately. Maybe that’s why CC and his crew avoid coaching on the boys’ side altogether. |
Good assessment. The actual quality of the services they provide are worsening. Hence, team results and performances have started to suffer. |
Maybe. Maybe there are other reasons. |
| why fcv gotta come in and ruin rev? we had a good thing going. thanks for nothing cc and ed. take ks and ef off |
| Cc and the crew don’t care for any accountability. Not for themselves or the favorite players. It’s like the teachers that show up just for a paycheck. The worst ones survive the longest because they have no better options. It’s shock that Marvin and Ed were removed, but it actually was a way for them to survive and keep getting paycheck. Ed still shows up at ccs games and pretends to coach. |
Every club in the country is pay to play, unless you're an MLS Academy team |
Reminder that VR$C paid for this clown and another clown called Justin to go to wales 3 times to get a license… Not sure if it’s illegal but it sure as hell stinks from an ethical and moral POV fleecing parents for this garbage |
But you’re ok with your tax dollars paying for politicians and bureaucrats to travel the world to “work” right? But guess you think that is a ethical and moral outrage as well right? |
It’s a stretch to say this is a moral or ethical problem for a private business. A big waste of money investing more money in training a coach that is an absolute disaster is a better description. These are coaches that pick one or two players, kiss the parents ah and tell them how good their dd is and try to ride that to some wins. Absolutely no development for ten years. Just ask the player who still only plays with right foot. The best players eventually look for brighter pastures. Just because one parent coach has a kid who goes d1 doesn’t make the parent a good coach. Someday you will figure that out. |

There is a lot of frustration with the situation both ways. Some are happy, some are not. Everyone has their own experiences.
It does seem like there is lack of empathy that runs fall circles at Revolution. Not all but some coaches, some directors, some staff and some parents. Some can’t look past their child, friend, player, money, self-interest, and ego etc… |
