FCPS Skyview Boundary Scenario 1/2/3

Anonymous
Both options created a new split feeder at Brookfield, it all fed to Chantilly before. Now they isolated most of the apartment/townhouse complexes and sent then to Westfield, but kept almost all the single family neighborhoods at Chantilly.

The entire school should have been sent to Stone (under capacity) and Westfield (only 74% capacity). These special neighborhood favors and carve outs are unfair and disgusting.

100% Proof that the consultants assigned them to Westfield and Reid or a lackey moved it back after it was published.

They aren't even good at being corrupt.

The fix is in out in the open. Sorry to the Westfield families, FCPS has designated your school as the official loser in the Skyview Boundary Hunger Games.

The slides they sent out also were also not edited to include the grift/favor/bribe from Walney Oaks.

Scenario 1 leads to 3 way split feeder for the crossfield community in a way that all buses ( crossfield, carson, Franklin, Oakton and skyview) will be coming to neighborhood streets. Not sure what other schools are dealing with 3 way split feeders. The split also cuts through small neighborhood streets of crossfield

There are a lot of open seats at Westfield. Maybe all of Crossfield should be sent there.

Look at a map. Brookfield should be at Chantilly. There are kids who walk through the library area.

They moved half to Westfield in both scenarios. They should move the entire school, or a different entire school. Westfield doesn't have enough students.

They said they didn't move any transportation-designated walkers, didn't they?

All of Bull Run should be at Westfield. Most of it is equidistant.

But we’ve been hearing constantly from all your neighbors that Skyview is perfect and nobody can criticize it.

Now you’re telling me that people are getting a raw deal? Who could’ve seen that coming?

I agree. If they are only going to move half of Brookfield, the Walney Oaks area is much closer to Westfield than the part they moved (and not at all walkable to CHS).

There is no logical explanation for the Brookfield boundaries other than favoritism. This will also bring CHS's FARMs rate down even lower, while increasing Westfield's.

They completely took out all of those areas from both scenarios, with the exception for one apartment building being sent to Westfield.

The kids do walk. Not sure if they are provided bus transportation as it is round about by road. But, you can see Brookfield from the front of Chantilly. Some of the streets are right behind the library/fields/daycare.

I don't see the logic in creating a new split feeder at Brookfield when Westfield is empty. Send the whole school there.

All that section on Walney Rd should go to Westfield. So should Bull Run.

They've split plenty of other elementary schools.

It seems the consultants probably originally moved all of Brookfield outside the "walk zone to Chantilly" to Westfield, then moved back some areas to Chantilly once the maps were posted. That's why its completely illogical now.
