SATC New Season - And Just Like That...

I don’t like the kitchen hook up moment from the standpoint of it being while Miranda was “on duty” for her healing friend, but I can see them setting up a scene like that on past scenes with a binary couple and it causing less of a splash too. If they had been having an affair or met up later it would play differently. But I also don’t think Che is into Miranda, they see her need and are playing/being generous. I get that.

Yeah this is my take on that character too.

Also, Carrie’s outfit to the Diwali function was not a saree. Why did they keep calling it that?

Yes! This annoyed me to. They were shopping for lenghas, the type of which were shown on the shown are normally worn at weddings. Sari's or Salwar Kalmeez are more appropriate for a family Diwali celebration.

Thank you for clarifying...this type of error is so off-putting. They're trying to make a point about appropriation and yet they get a key piece wrong. How embarrassing and un necessary. Do your homework for Christ's sake.

Che is unlikable to a significant number of viewers, I tend to think it is less about them behaving in an "alpha" way than about some issues connected a sort of borderliney quality, ie. aggressive, impulsive, intense. Just a lot....they are a lot, or as my sister likes to say, "a long day."

Their character is an on air personality. So I get that too. Actors/entertainers have big personalities. I’d never want to be in a room with Eliot in the Morning; and while I really like Maron that would be a lot too, less so than a more frenetic celebrity though.

Definitely see the impulsive no boundaries part too, but you could really say that of most of the main characters as well. Carrie with Natasha….phew.

True....I don't know what it is about Che. Looks like they believe they have it all figured out maybe ? The woke caricature, one note quality...something in that neighborhood like others have said I guess. A little too self satisfied maybe 😌

I dislike Che because of the way they introduced her. She was set up as a comedian. But they are more like a lecturer on wokeism. She hasn't said anything funny. So I think getting that expectation set up, that they are a comedian, made it a let down, and puzzling because people keep laughing at their not funny lines. Also I find that Che doesn't really respect people. They smoke on elevators. They give drugs to minors. They make Carrie uncomfortable and implore her to violate her own boundaries.

Ok I just wrote that and now I think this may be a wider commentary the show writers are making about wokeism.

Che is painfully unfunny.
The whole show is painful.
Do the writers know this?

And Miranda continues to be an @sshole. What a concerted effort with Steve, not. Maybe try counseling before indulging yourself with more cheating?

The Charlotte storyline was silly but made me laugh.

Carrie's also a little silly but I like the Jon Tenney casting. Speaking for myself, he seems more her type than Big at least as far as the ability to converse in a relatively meaningful way.

Lemme guess - Che will let Miranda down slowly but Miranda will realize chicks is where its at and divorce Steve anyway.

The Peter romance will be short lived too. He'll become a good friend and maybe better suited for Sheema.

Harry will face a health crisis and will turn Charlotte's head around to appreciate him more.

Spot on. Good catch with Seema.

No, they don't. Listen to their podcast ("And Just Like That The Writer's Room). They don't know. They sometimes accurately predict what we will hate but they think they are doing amazing groundbreaking work. It is clear from the podcast that the ideas aren't (all) bad.... just the execution is.

I am binging show now and caught up. Che is painful to watch, not funny and tryingto hard.
and why would charlotte rope her friends into attending a school action, their friendships now seem weird and too codependent. the guy playing steve never should have agreed to be on the show, they are basically making him the deaf, doddrering senior citizen of the show.
Watching charlotte try to talk with those super inflated lips is never wracking.
