Letter Signed by Nearly 400 Law Professors Decries Kavanaugh's 'Lack of Judicial Temperament' Brett Kavanaugh’s fiery appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week got failing marks from more than 560 law professors at nearly 100 schools in an open letter saying the Supreme Court nominee failed to demonstrate the judicial temperament required by the position he seeks. “We regret that we feel compelled to write to you to provide our views that at the Senate hearings on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, the Honorable Brett Kavanaugh displayed a lack of judicial temperament that would be disqualifying for any court, and certainly for elevation to the highest court of this land,” the letter reads. Martha Minow, who was dean of Harvard Law School while Judge Kavanaugh taught there, is among the prominent signatories, along with such scholars as Mark Lemley of Stanford Law School, Judith Resnik of Yale Law School and Michael Dorf of Cornell Law School, who like Judge Kavanaugh once clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy. “We have differing views about the other qualifications of Judge Kavanaugh. But we are united, as professors of law and scholars of judicial institutions, in believing that Judge Kavanaugh did not display the impartiality and judicial temperament requisite to sit on the highest court of our land,” the letter reads. “It organically came together, the result of a surge of law professors remarking on Judge Kavanaugh's lack of judicial temperament at the hearings,” said one of the signers, Prof. Bernard Harcourt of Columbia Law School. The letter remains open for additional signatures through Thursday. |

Enough with all young men being scared. All men don't have to be scared. The people who are scared are the men who behaved like they were in Animal House when they were younger. Too drunk to control themselves. Mistreated women. Any guy who acted like the stuff they are saying BK did is getting nervous? Fine with me.

No one is claiming he did not write the letter, not even the Federalist, which published a piece criticizing the NYTimes article. |

If Ford is lying how did she know that BK was such good friends with Mike Judge that she placed them both in the room? I mean, she had to have known them somehow to have known they were drinking buddies. I mean sure, BK's name was sort of in the news if you keep up with judgeships and all. But not Mike Judge's.
Can someone explain this to me? |

Trumps words tonight severely undermind the republican strategy of believing her. In fact, it totally shatters the whole 'let's bring a female prosecutor in so we don't have bad optics" Unless the GOP is going to strongly rebuke Trump's words, the backlash will not be pretty. |
