Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 4

I thought the Republicans were big on impeachment for lying under oath. Which they should be. Well, Kavanaugh lied under oath. So, where is the outrage?

“I honestly don’t know who is telling the truth. I don’t believe her blindly, but I also don’t think she’s involved in some big conspiracy (even if one is happening around her.) And certainly some people screwed the pooch procedurally here.

All that said, his behavior on Thursday was absolutely horrific and completely unbecoming of a Supreme Court Justice. He is hot tempered and blatantly partisan. Yes, lots of people in the room were being partisan, but he was the only one trying to become a Supreme Court Justice.”

As I’ve said before, if he had been polite and answered the questions cordially and directly, this would all be over. He has humiliated himself and shown he can’t remain calm and impartial in tense situations.”

Since it's a new thread, can you please add some context for this? I don't know who said this or where it was published.

Sorry for the confusion. It wasn’t published. I was simply reposting my own thoughts since they were posted right before the other thread was locked.

Yeah, I don’t get why he lied on dumb stuff and acted like a douche. He had it in the bag before that.

This is hysterical. She was barely able to interview him because he was off his rocker. If Graham hadn't pulled her out, he would have gone down in flames right then.

Of course based on what she heard, she wouldn't have a case against him.

She heard nothing from him!

Additionally, she takes very few rape cases to court, and when she does, she does not go for reasonable sentences. She goes for the low hanging fruit, leaving many rapists on the streets.

Of course she wouldn't take him to court for what is known now. This was never about if he did it or not.

It was about if he MIGHT have been the one to do it.

Up until this morning I felt the same way as you, I didn't necessarily know who was telling the truth. After the Rachel Mitchell memo I am inclined to believe BK. there are too many loopholes in her story some of which make me think she is intentionally being dishonest. That being said I think his explanations of the meanings of his yearbook statements amounts to perjury and he probably did himself in on that alone. However, I do not believe he assaulted Christine Ford.

But not all of the evidence was presented and statements made by witnesses were submitted by lawyers, and not given under oath. A proper investigation is needed before any conclusions can be drawn.

Silly rabbit. That is for Dems that lie under oath. That is how it all works now.

FBI investigation “contaminated at the core.”
But what do you expect from the WH and McConnell.
Trump is going to appease Flake? Trust the FBI?
? LOL

The fact is, all that matters is what Flake, Murkowski and Collins think. And I think they will fall in line. Which is very troubling. But the entire GOP is troubling.

Because he needed to put on great act for DT and because he is pissed off that anyone would dare to question his entitlement to his scotus position.

She has so many holes in her story. But how about her "makeover" for the hearing. They darkened her hair, styled it so it would fall in her face and look disheveled, wore oversized glasses and ill fitting clothes. All of this was done specifically to make her look weak and get sympathy. I call BS.

What is his excuse for looking greasy and foaming at the mouth?

Probably. But there will always be a mental * by his name. Like a boycotted Olympics. This is what pisses him off so much. But I agree he will likely be seated.

Yes there will. Way worse than the one that Thomas has.
