During a boys game, you can hear coaches screaming at their players to get it their mouth the whole game. Refs, if they are going to call it, usually do so in the first half or sometimes in the 3rd, once maybe twice. Most girls refs in our area are terrible, with no thought to managing the game.
There are some notable exceptions but it sounds like none of the teams who played yesterday are happy with the refs.
She had to pick the mouth guard up off the ground, shake all the turf pebbles off and put it back in her mouth. That gets called every time......
How they handle mouth guards in a boys game has as much relevance to this games as how they handle mouth guards during a monster truck rally.
Visi scored after the whole egregious mouth guard situation and then were held scoreless for the last 9 minutes of the game with calls going 4-4 to both teams even with Visi going hackathon on SSSAS during the last minute. The one referee huddle in the last 10 minutes went Visi's way on a weird offsides call.
Both teams weren't happy with the refs which like someone else said is probably a good indication that the refereeing was pretty even.
