Biden's VP?

Don't like Harris. Could live with Kloubachar...but she seems to lack confidence or something. Perhaps from her family of origin story.

I like Stacey Abrams, but she is somewhat untested. Plus I think she would scare of moderate Republicans.

Val Demmings?

Abrams is an amazing woman who will draw republican women and energize black voters.

No. Klobuchar is the sensible choice. From there, fill key roles/cabinet with equally strong picks and experience in specialized roles.

Please envision the VP as president. This is not a far fetched scenario. Who would you choose? Put identity politics away. No one disputes filling the jar with skittles of every color and orientation. Taste the rainbow. We have a country to fix.

Warren.

Warren has been discussed frequently in the past 110 pages. There are many arguments against Warren. Go back and read those to get the many arguments against Warren that have already been made.

Additionally, it is questionable if she would add votes. While she adds some progressive votes, she will lose a lot of midwest and minority votes. She doesn't appeal to those demographics in large numbers. She will lose a lot of moderates and independents in swing states which, like 2016, is where the decision will be made. There are about 22 states that are pretty much guaranteed to vote red. There are 15 states are pretty much guaranteed to vote blue. There are 13 states that are reasonably considered to be in play. Unfortunately, Warren doesn't add much in those 13 states to what Biden already brings. Additional support by progressive liberals in staunchly blue states, does not really help the ticket at all, and that's where Warren plays best, in the urban and suburban white vote in solidly blue states.

Do you seriously think this is my first time on this thread?

Biden is already getting shaky on us with his position on funding for police.

Ball in his court. What is Biden about?

My black relatives and friends don’t agree. It’s not about a VP. It’s about a system of racial oppression. That is different thread.

PP here and my 78 year old grandfather said the same. Also someone who can help to ease racial tensions is important, Whitmer seems best for the diverse and broad interest democrats will have to support in the coming term.

If you keep posting about Warren without trying to comment about the many negatives, then yes. Either that or your are being intentionally obtuse.

Michelle Obama. Total no-brainer. There's a reason the Obamas are so out there recently...

The Obamas are out there because DJT is a fool. The Bushes are 'out there' too. Maybe Laura will run?

How many times, different ways, and different media does she need to say no before some of you will give this up?

She's very strongly for defeating Trump and electing Biden and has no interest in running as VP.

Black women have been bailing out the Democratic party and we didn't get a candidate worth fighting for. We've reluctantly accepted status quo Biden (old, white, senile, male) as the candidate to potentially beat Trump, but we won't accept a white female as his VP.

Then you should work to get more black females elected as governors and senators so that there is a larger bench to choose from next time. We haven’t even had a female VP of any color, the insistence on a specific color for this specific election is boggling to me.

The Black community handpicked Joe Biden. Why didn't they support Kamala Harris?

Because contrary to what some insist on here, most of us consider factors other than a person’s race when selecting a candidate.

Gotta be Harris.

Whitmer barely has more experience than Abrams. That being said, she’s faced a true test in her limited time as governor, so I guess that’s where she gets the nod over Abrams. But no national experience.

Working with other governors and directly with the White House is national experience.

It has nothing to do with race but we keep electing old white men. Stop the nonsense.
