For most of the age groups, most of the losses are close, like by a single goal. There have been a lot of close games, a lot. Let's see how things evolve.

See this is why MU/WSVA gets bashed. The standings are public and they include goal differential. The games are close if they’re basketball scores. -11 goal differential in 4 games is not a competitive team. Scoring less than one goal per game in every age group is not competitive. And claiming it’s nothing to worry about because it’s “development” gets absurd when it’s now year three and “development” isn’t bearing fruit.

And finally learn the game before coming on here and saying games are close. The 03 game vs FCV was 0-0 until last ten minutes and ended 3-0. The game was not close just because it was 0-0. FCV created multiples more of high quality scoring chances than MU and finally the dam broke. This happens in soccer. Doesn’t make the teams close to equal just close in score line. Anyone with experience in this sport watching with realism could see the two teams were at different levels.

The 05 MU team in my opinion is the highest level team in that club. Hopefully for MU they can keep that squad together.

Be realistic and people will back off.

Only that it has taken the mess Spirit left behind and cleaned it up, improved it, and given those players are better training environment (some of which are talented and FCV would itself would take, as history shows it always does)

I can't argue on the play ups. It was 04s that came in the last 10 minutes of the FCV game as case in point. However, I will say it's better, even if still a problem.

Why do they do playups if they don't help the team and the girls aren't ready to play that level? It seems like it not only hurts the team but the girl as well. I can see doing it when both the players needs it and the it helps the team. Is the 04 team so bad that they are trying to keep players from leaving?

I would say they lost a lot of the better players (not all their best, but definitely some of their good ones) from having the largest roster in Spirit 2 years in a row and there was also some disgruntled over play ups as well. It's a shame. I hope they can recover.

It seems like the first point might be the best. Those are some BAD substitutions to make in a 0-0 game to then lose it. Does the coach realize that these games are being played to win or does he not have a good sense of when and who to substitute?

I can't speak for him as to what he was thinking, but for the players and parents that was a disappointing way to conclude a close game.

MU practices in Reston and Tysons. There are a few players that come from Alexandria area so you may find a carpool.
