That they have a partnership? Like PWSI VSA and VDA. Shouldn’t be too hard to understand. |
| Last year when they were Spirit they had partnerships with Vienna, CYA and a bunch of other teams but it never panned out. Those clubs never encourages their top players to switch over. I think with VDA because they have actual PWSI and VSA coaches on the staff of VDA maybe it works better? Right now it seems like GFR is the only true feeder into Metro |
+1. Vsa and PWSI coaches and directors are the vda coaches. There is an actual link and culture. VSA still loses players to other ecnl/da programs though. |
Lol. It’s not that easy buddy. It might work for a year but it is very difficult to sustain those “partnerships” and especially when the teams don’t win and are a laughing stock. |
| Why are the MU haters so upset today? A lot of drama on this thread. |
I would assume MU haters = MU insiders I am not, how about you? |

It does not match the mostly positive environment on the sideline so it's interesting and funny. |
The teams are not “laughing stocks”. Let’s see how things work next year. |
They have a coach who is the TD for 9-12s at GFR and close relationships at the other two clubs. Not the same as what Spirit had. |
| I'm sure the DC stoddert parntership will work well for those parents who want to drive from northwest DC to reston during rush hour |
Well we do live in the DMV area. The Redskins mentality has rubbed off. There is always next year, just wait... Until you lose all but a few games again. |
I’m more concerned with where my kid plays in college than meaningless DA wins. Spirit/Metro have a very good record in that area |

People have asked me why we stayed with MU despite the failings of Spirit, the as of yet unimpressive record, and a couple of fair criticism (some issues with player depth, play ups, and questions about next year).
As for next year, I will let that take care of itself. Good players can always find a spot. I don't disagree with the failings, but no club is perfect. We thought about other area clubs, but they have their failings too. So which failings can we live with? We can live with the challenges that have come with smaller rosters. She loves her team, she loves her coaches, she is growing as a player. They allow her to make mistakes without grinding her into the ground (which she does plenty of on her own). People every single week come on here to discuss MU's record. Really? Every week this club is worth that kind of attention? I don't do that to other clubs. And if people don't see a difference between crushing us 7-2 last year with goals every so many minutes throughout the game and 0-3 with all 3 at the end? What about 0-8 the 1st year? And the 19s won their DA cup division. Everyone agrees the 05s are a good time. There are reasons holding them back, but that team has talent. |
