Yes most things written by the WP are crap, but again no one has stood up to say that they were there or actually knows what happened- so everyone can speculate all they want, but Ms Carr knows the truth along with others who were there. Has anyone given any thought to why she decided to plea out instead of go to court? Possibly its all those little truths that we dont have access to that brought her to her senses and she opted for her time served instead of going to trial. And for all you that think she is so wonderful, why would you think these convictions would stop her from being a midwife now - she didnt mind breaking the law before by practicing without certifications- whats to stop her now? |
No...it's because it meant no jail time. If you knew anything about the judicial system, you would realize how common that is as well as how little truth actually matters. |
It's what you don't know. Why did the prosecution extradite her and spend all of the VA tax payers' dollars to do so, only to accept a plea? I understand why KC accepted, so she would face the certainty of no jail time instead of the uncertainty of not defending her case. What were the prosecution's motives? You either do it or you don't. If you didn't want her coming to VA, a cease and desist would have been a low-cost solution. I want to know why they spent VA tax dollars just to agree to this outcome. Ms. Boucher, Alexandria assistant DA - I want an answer as to why you did this and didn't follow through. |
Maybe she didn't have all the facts straight before the trial. Maybe the defense found out some things that the prosecution would rather not have been made public in a trial. hmmmm inept |
From WP article:
“The lack of integrity and veracity demonstrated by the defendant’s taking advantage of a plea arrangement to her benefit, standing before the court under oath and affirming that she was pleading guilty because she was in fact guilty, and then turning right around and claiming that she did nothing wrong, is extremely disturbing,” Boucher said. Ahem. Does Boucher really think that KC accepted the plea that Boucher offered because she was agreeing she was a criminal? Duh. And double duh, does she think the public thinks that she pleaded because she was in fact guilty? Give me a break. If she was so guilty and it was a slam dunk as evidenced by the grand jury, why OFFER? KC offered Boucher a big F U and Boucher is upset? I'm upset that she wasted our money or was too inept at working her case that she had to offer a plea because her case just sucked and she knew all was lost. |
That woman should be rotting in jail right now. |
Come on, people. Anybody who lives in the DC should know that agendas and lobbyists drive things like this. They don't need a trial to make a statement/impact |
Go call Boucher and ask her why she didn't take this home. She is the one who really has some explaining to do here. Total balk... and a waste of money. |
Bingo! I can think of a whole set of professionals who would benefit from this type of public charade. Are you suggesting that Boucher was influenced and pressured by THEM? Love it. Makes sense to me. |
Going back to the medicine of breech delivery, talk to your ObGyn and ask questions about the hospital. At mine, we have 24/7 in-house anesthesia (minimal delay for epidural if desired, or c-section) and a dedicated L&D in-house Ob and RN and OR and Anesthesiologist for a stat c-section (god forbid). We do NSVD of breech infants, with this setup, to good effect.
It is a hospital environment and not as comfy as one's home. But breech is high risk, precisely due to the high likelihood of entrapment. |
I really liked Carr's quote in the article about how the position wasn't the problem the head just became entrapped. Um....wouldn't that be based on position?
Plus she says her fee barely covers her costs? What costs does she even have?!?! No licensing fee that is for sure. She really should have kept her mouth shut. The article makes her sound like an idiot. |
and apparently she administered drugs to another mom although she is not allowed to do that. Really? I can't believe that this many women trust her blindly and yet they are critical toward women who trust their (licensed) OBs.
|
Routinely? In Washington, DC??? I have a hard time believing this is common. I also have a hard time believing that a stat c/s helps in situations when the baby is already born to the neck. Have you ever seen this happen and have a good outcome? |
Yes, please educate us Ms. NVSD. And, what exactly do you mean by high likelihood of entrapment? Do you think for one minute that a mother would birth at home on purpose if there were a high likelihood of entrapment? The risk for this mom was low enough that she took it. |
