Should I ask my neighbor if I can use their pool this summer?

The irony of this post with the typo! Takes one to know one! But I do agree LOL. Get a grip OP, people are dying

OP what’s your address? You can use my pool for $5000 every two weeks. That should cover my expected value of risk. Smh.

I have a pool and the answer would be no.
Do not ask.

I also have a pool. I would say no, then talk shit about you. Unreal OP. Have some decency.

No 100% no.

1. If they don't often use their pool then it may not be chemically balanced ready. Our pool always looked nice but if we wanted to swim or have people over it took an hour in the morning to clean out the filters and add chemicals. The chemicals are not cheap either. I would not want to deal with rinsing filters and using up expensive chemicals so you can take a dip.

2. It is a liability and I would not want to deal with getting a lawyer to draw up a waiver that may not satisfy the insurance company if something happened.

3. You are not the only neighbor or their only friend. If we still had a pool, it would be a nightmare figuring out who to extend an invitation to and who not to extend one to so we probably would just avoid the issue all together.

OP you suck

OMG this is hilarious. No you can't ask to use their pool. Go ahead and put one in if you need it.

OP why don’t you buck up and buy one yourself. Jeez, you are a grade A LEACH

OP do you even know how to calculate risk? I guess you skipped a few classes in community college.

Bump. This is too entertaining.

I guess I was just raised differently. I would say yes if someone asked me - especially give. The circumstances

I think the most you can say it “You guys are so lucky to have a pool—I’m seriously jealous of anyone with their own pool since the public pool cllosed! “ then segue into another topic.

No OP, you do suck.

With the reopening of pools still TBD, do you think it would be wildly inappropriate to ask her if I could use the pool with my two kids for a couple hours each week? Of course, I'd completely understand if she said no, would sign a liability waiver, clear dates/times with her in advance, set up clear usage guidelines, and even offer to pitch-in for pool maintenance, etc. Thoughts?
no.
