I don't remember the start date, but we had friendlies in August, at least 3 I can remember, leading into the fall season.

Thanks, looking forward to it

Any time. Should be a great year with the new approach

They are trying to make money here, because its a business. They just saw CZ make money and now they want some too. I'd rather light my cash on fire.

What makes you think CZ made any money from FCV?

What makes you think he didn't?

What money would he have made? He will be lucky to get his investment back.

Funny how everyone speculates so negatively for CZ, FCV, MU, etc.

Everyone must be an All Star in life with a future Wheaties star on the pitch!

Time to move past this stupid discussion. Does anyone know which events allow ECNL, DA and independent teams to play one another? There are multiple tournaments with ECNL and independents and a few with ECNL and DA but I have not found one with all three.

I don’t think there is. DA is very insular in who they’ll play. Every once in a while they will go to a showcase and compete against ECNL teams, but other than that there’s no co-mingling. It’s part of their “meaningful competition” marketing approach. ECNL is more open to playing in big tourneys like Jeff Cup and can technically compete in open state cups, but they don’t. It’s a shame as kids get tired of playing the same teams again and again.

Zero.

Only possible way is if tourneys like Jeff Cup offer a bracket that complies with DA. This would mean only one game per day and at least one day of rest over three games.

There have been some small showcases where DA and ECNL teams are present but those are to random to count on.

DA teams are very special and only play other DA teams because they might lose all of their super powers if forced to play against a team without a da patch on their jersey.

Because if it was very profitable he would still own it. Nobody sells a profitable business to take a relatively low paying job at Spirit.

Or the sale was too good to be true. The St. James has a long term vision and CZ made a fortune while retaining a very high salary as the TD over STJFCV AND getting paid from the Spirit.

I know they are just showcases but I find it interesting that NPL as well as future DA club finished ahead of the ECNL teams in the CASL tourney.
