They looked like apartments or condos when his father lived there. Randall has a beautiful SFH, wouldn't the units in this bldg be too small for their family of five?

Agreed, but maybe not the building itself, just a house in the neighborhood so he can run for office. Sorry, just don’t trust that councilman.

I can hardly see Beth agreeing to that though. Perhaps that is the coming split between them. If so, I can see him taking Deja to the city with him. She’s unhappy in her current school.

...as already discussed on page 8.

Plus, isn’t the building an hour away from Randall’s home (and, presumably, Beth’s work), like New Jersey to Philly?

The part that annoyed me was that she supposed to be a really really difficult case at 90% failure rate however when I went for IVF they said I had a 7% chance of success and that was when I was 38 did not even have diminished ovarian reserve. What they should be making a big deal about is the likelihood of death from surgery not the percentage chance of success because that is what is unique in her situation.

I think they are making a deal out of the risk of the surgery. It's why Rebecca and Toby both had concerns.

Sorry to hijack but can someone tell me why IVF Surgery is so much more risky for someone that heavy? Is it just because it's surgery and the person has to be put under and a heavy person's heart isn't strong enough? I didn't realize egg retrieval was such major surgery.

It's the anesthesia. IVF also has a lower success rate for obese patients.

Not to change the subject from IVF, but I was annoyed when Randall was rubbing Beth's back and told her that he liked her, "skinny thick." Beth is NOT skinny thick. She's just slim!

Also would like to add that I really hope Sophie comes back pregnant. Kevin deserves to be happy with his family and I know he still loves Sophie. She just needed him to FINALLY grow up. Hopefully he has.

Agreed, I thought Rebecca’s speech to Kate in the toilet stall was pretty clear: I barely survived your dad dying, I cant bear to have you die too.

Not disagreeing with your take on it. But, dang, that kind of mindset is awful: YOU have to live your life according to my standards so that my emotions won't be thrown off balance! Talk about pushing into other people's boundaries!

Anonymous wrote:I want to know who Randall and Tess are going to see. At the end of last season, I assumed it was Beth or Deja but Randall calls old Toby so maybe it's Kate?

Also, how realistic was the 90% failure rate that was given to Kate for her IVF?

I think it is Annie. The forgotten sibling turned troubled adult ala Kevin.

Anonymous wrote:I thought Kate actress was getting her stomach banded or whatever. Why isn’t she getting smaller???

She didn't get the surgery, either in real life or on the show. She discussed on some late night talk show and said she has lost 40 lbs on her own.

She mentioned that on the first episode as well. She's very short so it will probably take a significant amount more loss to look smaller.

Wouldn’t being short actually make any weight loss more noticeable?

Not sure why but it didn't for me. I'm 5'1 and it took almost 50 pounds before anyone noticed.

I wonder this too. I thought we heard long ago that he attended Howard. But maybe he chooses someplace closer to home. So sweet that he knew he had to help take care of Rebecca.

Sterling K. Brown just rips me to pieces, almost every damned episode!

It was excruciating to see Randall give up HU. I really felt for Rebecca also. It’s so painful to know you need to step up and want to do so, and still struggle with it.

I still can’t stand Toby. He’s just so annoying.

agree on the Toby hate. I really can't stand Kate either. Their whole relationship is so annoying and I find her size to be incredibly distracting.

Me too. Why not lose weight before IVF? That really pisses me off. And they act like a perfect couple totally in love, yet he can’t tell his wife about being off his meds? BS. What a messed up relationship

Agree about the weight. The wake up call that IVF would be dangerous was the perfect opportunity for her to have gastric bypass surgery and LOSE the weight! Then try IVF - or adopt, for crying out loud!!
