And there is no doubt he has Marylanders best interests in mind and heart as he works passionately at his job.

Thank you for your input Larry.

LOL. Even Larry can't back up his statement that he's done a "great job" with actual evidence of what he's accomplished in 4 years.

Under Hogan, schools slid from being #1 five years in a row to falling to 6th place in 2018.

WTF is Hogan doing? His opponent needs to hammer him on this 24/7.

But we will have some beautiful Highways to Nowhere in rural Maryland.

WTF Hogan is doing? Raiding the Education Trust Fund. Maryland schools were promised $1.8 billion in casino revenues, but Hogan has not delivered.

“During his time as governor, about $1.8 billion has flowed into the Education Trust Fund from casino revenues. As the governor rightly stated at his press conference, “the voters need to get what they were promised.” What they were promised was that this $1.8 billion would amount to increases in school funding. But how much has school funding increased during Hogan’s tenure? About $400 million, due to increases in enrollment and inflation that are required by the current formula and mandated thanks to the General Assembly. In other words, the governor has raided $1.4 billion from the Trust Fund and sent it to other parts of his budget.”

I think Hogan is pretty bad on school funding but few people are truly aware of the school funding complexity and relationship with the state.

Hogan has a real opening to pick up votes in Montgomery County if he reaches out to the Asian American community that just was royally screwed by MCPS. Indian and Chinese voters will support a republican if he stands up for their equal right by merit for entry into educational programs or at least doesn't try to glare them down or walk out them the way many Montgomery County leaders do . I hope his office and campaign office reach out to them.

If he steers very clear of Trump he can pick up white voters in Montgomery County by promising tax breaks.

Nope, no way he’s getting re-elected. Md is a blue state and enough is enough.

Kamenetz won't get the Democratic nomination if partly because of the brewing scandal surrounding the Baltimore County schools which happened under his watch. Which means the Democratic nominee will be a DC area Democrat. And that delivers the Baltimore suburbs to Hogan again. If Kamenetz had won the nomination he'd have weakened Hogan in Baltimore County but that won't happen now (which is what O'Malley did to Ehrlich).

We will see.

Rich Madaleno is getting my vote in the primary.

He chose state authority over county to govern education. (Maintenance of effort fights). Local government knows it’s own needs best. There’s no way I want him as governor to run roughshod over the counties.

Clearly this PP is still bitter about Governor Hogan's executive order regarding the start and end dates of the school calendar in order to lengthen the summer season and taxable income from OC, Annapolis and Baltimore.

Madaleno had nothing to do with Hogan's school calendar executive order, and was quoted as being against the order.

When will the state report on the economic benefit of the mandate? 'They' said data would be available by late fall...

The Board of Education hires and supervises the Superintendent, not the County Commissioner. I don't see why it would have any effect at all unless he is suppose to have secret spidey sense for when the Superintendent has hidden consulting agreements.
