Babs is doing a crappy job of representing the concerns in her district. If she just wants to show up at parades and birthday parties, let her buy a clown suit and start a 2nd career as an entertainer. We need a better rep. and we need it NOW. |
| Counting the days until I can vote her OUT. And I voted for this time around. Never again. |
|
Exhibit A in why gerrymandering sucks. Because no one should be representing the silver line expansion/ Dulles Airport/the Tech corridor AND dirt poor rural interests.
Of course, she isn't even trying to pretend she represents Fairfax and Loudoun at this point. So, it's hard to feel sorry for her. Bye-Bye Babs! |
Huh. Likely story. |
Do you realize how bitter you sound? |
| What are folks in nova missing out on with her in place? More corporate welfare for potbellied middle aged white men? |
so what are the chances, 80% are Indian, in a world with less than 1% Indian? that is not random. what do you think causes a group of workers to turn from diverse and multi-cultural, into almost all Indian? do you think it may have anything to do with Indians bias to hire other Indians? or because INdians own the H1B visa mills and provide cheap workers? nah, probably just random. |
your point on Fannie Mae not owned by US gov is technically correct. But Fannie and Freddie are in an unusual situation. When the government bailed them out (in addition to getting those warrants), the Treasury Department placed Fannie and Freddie into conservatorship, which gave the government control over the companies. The government currently is taking all of the profits generated by Fannie and Freddie. For many observers the word "own" seems right. Many media organizations use the term "own." The Congressional Budget Office has said the government is the "effective owner" of Fannie and Freddie. http://www.npr.org/sections/money/2015/04/21/401259676/who-owns-fannie-mae-and-freddie-mac fact remains, Fannie Mae is controlled by US Taxpayers, and sells to only the US market. It does not, can not, and will not, sell to China or Indian market. It is chartered and focused completely on American market and supported by US taxpayers. |
No, she is mired down in her efforts to form the next march. She has no idea what type of hate is floating around inside her little brain.

I am, in fact bitter. My Rep. in Congress is representing a very educated, affluent diverse urban area wIth massive infrastructure projects AND a very poor, rural one. That's not her fault. That's gerrymandering. Which sucks, because you end up with one person representing two groups who need different, and sometime opposing things. What I do fault her for is not even trying to address the concerns of her NOVA constituents who are very concerned about where things are headed. This is not a go after her with pitchforks crowd. But, they are worried about the impact of the federal budget on this area, federal jobs, immigration policies, education policy and FCPS/LCPS and healthcare. These are legitimate concerns a lot of her NOVA constituents have. Her job is to show up and hear us out, and talk about how she is going to represent us on these issues, among others. It's her job, FFS. She needs to stop hiding just because it became difficult. Do you really think someone who represents a lot of immigrants doesn't need to be talking to immigrants right now? Or that someone who represents so many Feds should be ducking Fed constituents? I'm a fed. I'm a constituent. And I think it's fair for her to answer questions about cutting federal. Unions, and federal, pensions, and large scale federal agency budget cuts. I'm also an FCPs parent, and I like how the school system runs by and large. I want to know how she feels about vouchers and charters. And I would listen to her answers respectfully if she would show up and and listen to my questions respectfully. But she won't. So yes, I'm angry about that. |
| Is she voting for Trumpcare? |
| I am really pissed at her too. I have called and emailed her and can't reach her. I have resorted to Twitter, who knows if she looks at Twitter. She is not doing her job by stonewalling us. She is screwing us over. The issues are HUGE this year. I am very concerned about ACA being cancelled and cuts to the Feds. She likes to play both sides of the fence and we are paying the price. |
I've been able to reach her office. If you honestly don't know her position on these issues, you haven't been paying attention. |
She's checked out, it's bizarre. I'm guessing that she doesn't even run in 2018. Probably will head to the private sector or try to score a leadership position within the Pence Administration. Whatever happens with Trump, a Republican will still be PoTUS in 2018. She's using these next two years to prove her loyalty to the party. |
If what you say is accurate, makes perfect sense. It's all a conspiracy for her to get a position in the Pence Administration. |
