she apparently told some lobbyist that she s going to vote however "they" (meaning the House leadership) tell her to.
She doesn't give a shit about her constituents, folks. She is just a good little Republican soldier. Sadly, that is what a lot of them are - party over country. This is how we got into this mess. |
Why does this surprise anyone? Did voters not pay attention to who they were electing? Of course she is going to vote and act like a Republican. |
| Did anyone notice someone is already running ads praising her and other Republicans for the new health care bill? Barf. |
Sorta (exactly actually!) like the dems did when they passed the (un)affordable care act? With all of them voting for it unanimously? I guess they didn't give a s*** about their constituents either, huh? |
NY Times has her as unclear or undecided as of tonight. Might not be a bad time to let her know your feelings. |

ACA is actually pretty much the Heritage Foundation plan, as well as much like Romneycare from MA.
But Obama was pushing it, so Republicans said No. The Dems never should have backed off a public option. As a matter of fact, it is the ONLY sane way to fix healthcare AFAICT. Good luck with THIS shitshow, though. It's gonna be all kinds of fun when millions of people no longer have coverage and healthcare costs continue to skyrocket. |
ACA is like the Heritage Foundation plan? Don't remember any of their plans ever being as detailed as the legislative text of the ACA. Maybe I should blame them for why my rates went up and was forced to switch plans after I was told I would be able to keep my doctor. Heritage opposes the current draft of RyanCare. Agree it's a mess. However, Democrats oppose aspects of RyanCare, they used to support when Bill Clinton proposed it. Both parties have some hypocrisy on these issues, only supporting provisions when team blue or red proposes them. Being reflectively partisan, isn't going to solve our health care problems. |
| No, you should blame your insurance company and the states that refused Medicaid expansion |
M Lieberman refused to vote for Medicare expansion or a public option. Amazing how one asshole can screw everything up. |

damn lieberman. He's such a little weasel |
Not just Lieberman. Similar to what Reid did later with the lower court judges, if the Democrats were serious they could have gotten rid of the artificial 60 vote requirement. Heath care is a more important issue than lower court judges. We need real change in DC. |
