Barbara Comstock a no-show at weekend town halls

Republicans are running scared and it's only February! Hope she has her contingency plan in place for when she's out of a job come November 2018.

Rep. Barbara Comstock stood up constituents over the weekend who attended two townhalls with questions about an Obamacare repeal and the Trump Administration’s travel ban.

The centrist Virginia Republican invited people in her districts to “mobile office hours” on Saturday at two grocery stores in Lorton and Oakton, Va. The invitation specifically said she’d be there to answer questions about “issues important to you.”

But Comstock never showed up, angering dozens of constituents who wanted clarity on the GOP’s plan to replace Obamacare. Others wanted to question her about Trump’s immigration executive order. Dulles International Airport, after all, sits on the edge of Comstock’s district.

Let's hope a good Democratic challenger is being prepped now. Comstock didn't win by much this past November. and that district is full of immigrants and children of immigrants who are going to be furious at Republicans.

Trump is not really a republican. Was democrat for most of his life. Where Comstock is part of the republican establishment. She has been a republican hitman for her entire career. Now she is from a district filled with people that live on the taxpayer dime. if ever there was a symbol for drain the swamp it is Comstock.

Funny, I got a call from the House and it was for a telephone town hall this evening. You could just listen in on the line and if you had a question, you hit*3. Actually, it was pretty impressive. She talked about repeal and replace, investigating Trump/Putin/Russia stuff, infrastructure, taxes.

NP here:okay, that's fine that she did well in Langley. However, 2014 she won the election by 16 points. In 2016, it was down to 5points.

Including coming here illegally to vote? Not the previous poster but I saw a few of them trying just that at the polls.
