Republicans are running scared and it's only February! Hope she has her contingency plan in place for when she's out of a job come November 2018. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/barbara-comstock-no-attend-weekend-town-hall-234490 Rep. Barbara Comstock stood up constituents over the weekend who attended two townhalls with questions about an Obamacare repeal and the Trump Administration’s travel ban. The centrist Virginia Republican invited people in her districts to “mobile office hours” on Saturday at two grocery stores in Lorton and Oakton, Va. The invitation specifically said she’d be there to answer questions about “issues important to you.” But Comstock never showed up, angering dozens of constituents who wanted clarity on the GOP’s plan to replace Obamacare. Others wanted to question her about Trump’s immigration executive order. Dulles International Airport, after all, sits on the edge of Comstock’s district.
? I want to know how comstock is going to stop the h1b fraud going on in her district that has resulted in the the IT group in Herndon for Fannie Mae being over 80% Indian. How does that happen in a diverse community? 80% of one group when they are less than 1% of the population? No African Americans. US citizens over 50 no need to apply. 13150 Worldgate Dr Herndon, VA 20170 United States A US taxpayer owned business building software for a US market - staffed temp guest workers from half way around the planet
I know you hate facts, but let's try some anyone. 1. Fannie Mae is not taxpayers owned. It's tax payer guaranteed. There is a huge difference. The US Taxpayers don't own FM. 2. Companies that contract with FM are definitely not taxpayer owned. You beef is with a private company. 3. Asians gravitate towards STEM and dominate CS everywhere. DH has been in software development in 4 companies in 3 states. They have all been 80% Asian. Almost none H1B, BTW. Mostly naturalized citizens and green card. A lot of naturalized citizens whose parents brought them to the US as kids, where they attended school and college and went to work. Many have been here 20 plus years. The country of origin (China vs Korea vs India) changes depending on where he was based (NC's RTP vs DC vs Seattle). But it has always been an Asian dominant field. But a large piece is Asian AMERICAN. 4. Many if not not most Indian IT workers in the Dulles Tech corridor are not H1B. They are naturalized citizens or green card holders. Looking at someone of Indian descent and assuming they could not be a citizen is stupid and ignorant. A lot are. Guess what? They also live in Comstock's District and vote. She represents the Indian descent citizen tech workers. As it happens, there is a huge Mosque in her District. So, she also represents a lot of Muslims. And as long as Western Fairfax is the TJ feeder area, it will only draw larger numbers of educated Asians. She needs to get on board with this, or get a different job.
your point on Fannie Mae not owned by US gov is technically correct. But Fannie and Freddie are in an unusual situation. When the government bailed them out (in addition to getting those warrants), the Treasury Department placed Fannie and Freddie into conservatorship, which gave the government control over the companies. The government currently is taking all of the profits generated by Fannie and Freddie. For many observers the word "own" seems right. Many media organizations use the term "own." The Congressional Budget Office has said the government is the "effective owner" of Fannie and Freddie. http://www.npr.org/sections/money/2015/04/21/401259676/who-owns-fannie-mae-and-freddie-mac fact remains, Fannie Mae is controlled by US Taxpayers, and sells to only the US market. It does not, can not, and will not, sell to China or Indian market. It is chartered and focused completely on American market and supported by US taxpayers.
