I must say that people like OP are making the Columbia heights target a much nicer place to shop! We had to pop in twice last week and the lines were short & sweet. No more wrap around lines!
So- stay afraid op. Shit is scary out there! |
Same, just like they are at Gap, Banana Republic, J crew.. |
You are incredibly selfish. Is that all you really care about -- shorter lines for yourself? You must be part of the me generation. |

The fitting rooms at Target have all have doors that close and lock. So there is no reason for modesty to be compromised. I can see where tween/teen girls in particular might feel awkward coming out of their dressing room to model a new swimsuit or outfit for their moms. I can also see how it might be annoying to have to make sure that you are fully dressed before handing an item to a shopping companion to go get you a bigger/smaller size.
At the same time, I really don't see most men/teen boys going into the ladies fitting room area. I used to bring my boys in there when they were younger because, like the moms of girls, I wanted to see the close on them BEFORE I bought them. And I really didn't want to send my boys into the men's fitting room area w/o me and then make my boys "model" their clothes in the store area. Safety before convenience... |

I love how so many of you who think this is such a great idea include in your posts lines like "I really don't see X," or "Most people would never do Y," or "Do you really think creepy perverts are going to start doing Z" because of this new Target policy. Right. You've never seen it or experienced it, so it can't happen. Everything is wonderful. |
The individual fitting rooms have doors and locks. I don't want some creepy pervert opportunist back there any more than you do but I actually see the potential for more weirdness happening in the bathrooms. I'm not the one who came up with this policy nor am I the one enforcing it so - you can back off please. |
| I'm actually more concerned about people like OP who post on this forum. Your mind goes to some messed up places. Creepy. |
Maybe you've never had an encounter with a weirdo before - someone who chased you or flashed you or peeked in your window. I think many women have had run ins with creeps before so it isn't some laughable imaginary fear for us. |

I have! People like that don't care about store policies. They definitely don't care about store policies that have always been in place and are just being re-announced. You're dreaming if you think a changing room policy is going to affect lawless criminals. |
Sure. Let's not treat them like humans because obviously they aren't.
|
Um, until this policy was "re-announced" for whatever reason it would have been weird to see a man walk into the ladies room. Now? Who knows. |
I said this a few pages back, and I will say it again. The OP will not go through on the threat. In addition, Target is not going to go out of business because of one person. People shop there for a variety of reasons, whether it is food shopping or because one isn't a fan of Wal-Mart or other competitors. |
