Malia - Harvard

Thank you captain obvious. I put them together because she visited both institutions and it seems like she's weighing them equally but can't figure out which one has the edge. People think NYU is her top choice because of Tisch school.

And if she can get into Stanford and Swarthmore (likely she was accepted with late visits) she can get into Columbia.

This is too naive thinking. There is no guarantee that if one can get into Stanford, one can get into Columbia. Of course, for Malia, she can be accepted into any school she likes as long as she is not an obviously bad student.

Of course no guarantee but minus being POTUS daughter I think a girl coming out of Sidwell with Harvard Law parents could get into both Stanford and Columbia. Stanford's acceptance rate is a bit lower then Columbia as well.

By the same reasoning, every student accepted into Stanford can get into Harvard, and every student accepted into Columbia can get into Princeton.

I feel like you're taking this personally for some reason. Again no guarantees but someone with the credentials to get into Stanford can probably get into all the Ivy Leagues. Yes they'll need some creativity in their essays to make them standout for Harvard, Yale, etc. but it's certainly well within reach.

Columbia and Barnard are not the same institution. Columbia is a lot more competitive of a school (and it's co-ed).

Thank you captain obvious. I put them together because she visited both institutions and it seems like she's weighing them equally but can't figure out which one has the edge. People think NYU is her top choice because of Tisch school.

There's been no indication she's weighing Barnard equally to Columbia. Only gullible people on DCUM who mistook an April Fool's day article from a Columbia newspaper as fact.

Wrong. Prior to the April Fools Joke (like December) it was heavily hinted she was weighing NY schools because she likes the city. Obvious choices are Barnard, Columbia and NYU. Again everybody is speculating but I think it's on point.

Gullible people believed that fake Harvard letter.

This is immature and Sexist. There are numerous advantages of a single sex education.

She's going to Tufts.

So many insecure people here, especially those hyping up Barnard. Maybe she'll go to Occidental, like her father, pre-transfer.

Cite your source that she's considering Barnard. There are plenty of schools in NYC that you haven't mentioned. I sincerely doubt she is considering Barnard. The NY times said last week that she is debating between Harvard and Stanford. Anything beyond that is just wishful thinking.

She visited Barnard when she visited Columbia and NYU. These were the only schools that got major visits. She's visited other schools very discreetly. Below is one of many.

Where is the NY Times link?? I don't see her going to Harvard at all. We'll probably find out next week but it's looking like an NYU school, Swarthmore, or Stanford.
