If you get your rocks off tearing down teenagers and masking your bigotry as 'leveling the playing field' for the politically disconnected then rock on. |
I don't know why you are wasting your time with that person. He or she has one agenda only, and I guarantee he would never question the Bush girls credentials. And PP, since Trump was so persistent about Obama's transcripts, I'm waiting for Trump to disclose his. But I won't hold my breath. |
I'm also waiting for Trump to tell everyone that he transferred to Penn from Fordham because he couldn't get in the front door (despite daddy's connections and money). However, I won't hold my breath for that one either. |
Why not? |
Agreed. |

Malia Obama is going to Harvard. I can't help but wonder though, where was this outrage when Chelsea Clinton went to Stanford (at least she chose nice weather) or little Barb Bush went to Yale, ugh. I've spent a lot of the last 8 years wondering "Where was this outrage when..."
I've had enough of sarcastic statements about how "interesting" it is that Malia got into Harvard, and how there must be so many better candidates who did not. Actually, It's not that interesting. She's a child of privilege, she's graduating from an elite Quaker school and going to Harvard. If you want to argue about how unfair it is that priviliged children have disproportionate access to elite education, THAT'S interesting. In fact I'd be happy to connect you with an expert on the topic Shani Evans PhD. I'm the son of a physician and an educator who went to an elite Quaker school so it's no surprise I ended up at an Ivy League school. I worked my ass off, but I didn't work my way up from the bottom or anywhere near there, I didn't 'pull myself up by' anything. The truth is neither did most of the other ~2000 people admitted to Princeton in 1994 or to Harvard this year. But I don't see you clamoring to see all of their SATs and grades. When you say it's "interesting" that Malia grades aren't public it suggests that you think they must be inferior. Why would you think that? Anyway, I just thought maybe you don't realize that when you say stuff like that and your other closet racist friends +1. People see you. And even white reasonable people see you too. Folks see what you are saying loud and clear. You sound racist. |
NP. You, um, spelled privileged incorrectly. |
+1 but racists generally don't care that their racist. They know what they're doing. |
NP, you um are too stupid to get the full meaning of PPs post. You focused on one misspelled word and that's all you got. Sheesh, sheesh. Btw, she spelled it correctly the first time. |
| The response isn't surprising when Donald Trump is the RNC nominee. |
And why the hell should she do that? Why does she have to prove to anyone how and why she is going to Harvard? Who the hell are you? She should not care how and why she got into Harvard and what random people think about it. Bottom line is that she is going and can take advantage of it. Screw folks if they do not like. As far as "politician's privilege," I have no problem with the kid of a POTUS getting opportunities like this. She deserves it after all the stuff that has been said about HER and her family and the fishbowl she has lived in. She earned that shit. |
Why should that bring any outrage, other than in your own little mind? Stanford (and Harvard too) are Historically White Colleges. That's why, to me, Malia's decision is more surprising than Chelsea's. |
Unclench, angry poster. I read the rambling post and I think I can tell what it is trying to say. I merely pointed out an egregious spelling error. |
I'm neither clenched nor angry, but your post to the PP was stupid considering the overall meaning of her message. It was not an egregious spelling error. She spelled it correctly the first time. It's obvious from your need to correct others that you never type fast and commit spelling errors. How wonderful you must be in real life to crave the need to correct others for a slight mishap. |
[b] Another poster asking why? Malia is a third generation Ivy, so why would her decision be surprising? Honestly, I would have been surprised and floored if she had chosen an HBCU or small SLAC. She's a legacy, and when you can get your child into one of the Ivys, are they not expected to attend. JFK, Carter, Regan, Bush, and Clinton all sent their kids to Ivy league schools. |
