Bruce Jenner should use the locker room belonging to the gender that Bruce Jenner identifies with.

Who the hell made up this word? I will admit - I thought the first time I saw it in this thread that it was a typo.
Sad times we are in that we have to have a word to describe people who are NOT transgender. Pathetic.

What word would you use to describe people who are NOT transgender? "NOT-transgender" seems quite clumsy to me. And the opposite of "trans" is "cis". Just ask the Romans about Gaul.

Male. Female.

But those words mean something different. It's like saying, "I don't like the words black and white. I think that we should use sweet and sour instead."

Here's a simple way of understanding the differences between gender and sex, for those who are still having difficulty.

Sex = Male/Female/Intersex. Sex is in the chromosomes. No matter what, you can't change your chromosomes.

Gender = man/woman/boy/girl. Gender is in the brain, however your brain things you are or ought to be, which may be contrary to your chromosomes and/or genitals if someone has a gender identity disorder.

Huh?
Now you know that the Planet Fitness men are going to cause harm to her? You can't possibly know that, any more than the women at Planet Fitness know that the transgender woman is not going to cause harm to them. You can't have it both ways, again!

How many cases are there of transgender women harming women in women's locker rooms?

How many cases are there of men harming transgender women?

Actually, here's the real question for you: Do you think that transgender women are women? That's the bottom line, not all of this sophistry about how can anybody know if anybody is going to harm anybody. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that your answer will be no.

You are ignoring the big picture here: how does the woman in a woman locker suppose to know that a big dude with muscle and penis is a woman?

Not pp, but apparently the busybody complainer asked gym management about it. Clearly the transgender woman made her situation know and cleared it with staff first. It's not a matter of the busybody complainer "knowing" - they were informed by gym staff. But an made an issue about refusing to tolerate someone minding their own business and gossiping to other gym-goers.

PF has no problem with the female clients being uncomfortably naked in the presence of a person who is biologically and physically a man, as long as it is PC. Any woman who is uncomfortable undressing in the presence of a strange man should join a gym, and there are several, that takes their uncomfortableness them into consideration.

But there wasn't a "strange man" in the women's locker room. There were only women.

Yep. And then they shouldn't whine about how every gym doesn't discriminate in the way they find proper.

Eventually, all the 'phobes can end up in God's Gym or whatever, which can serve their steadily aging-and-shrinking population, thus keeping them from bothering normal people at regular gyms.

OK, then please cite two cases where a transgender woman assaulted, beat, murdered, raped, or otherwise caused harm to women in a women's locker room. I'll wait.

Name a case where a tranny got beat up in a men's locker room.

It is a FACT that MtF (male to female) transgender people face a much higher rate of violence than FtMs.

Your use of the word tranny is an ugly, ugly slur, but to answer your question:

I would love to read it but people will probably be really mean to you.

just because a man mentally thinks he is a woman does not make him a woman. If a schizophrenic thinks he is doctor does that make him a doctor even if he had never attended college. I get that transgender is some form of mental disorder, just like i get that schizophrenia is a mental disorder. Both requires treatment.

I feel really sorry for those who don't identify with their sex. I can only imagine the fortitude it takes to transition to the gender they do identify with. I can only imagine how difficult it was for a person making the transition to speak to the gym staff, to walk for the first time into the locker room of the gender they were transitioning to. I can only imagine how nervous/anxious/frightened she must be worrying that some self-righteous bitch will create pointless drama. I cannot imagine that transgender person doing anything but keeping her head down to avoid trouble - much like a kid that's been bullied tries to avoid drawing attention to herself.

I'm sure I've shared a locker room with someone who's transgendered. I KNOW I've shared locker rooms with lesbians. It doesn't bother me in the least. I'm not their type and we're all comfortable in the locker room of the gender we identify with. Good for Planet Fitness.

Why do you think that every person who is not accepting of the transgender lifestyle is old. You really need to step outside the beltway and your insular bubble.

The transgender "lifestyle"? What exactly is the transgender "lifestyle"?
