Um, maybe they want some typical, average, normal kids too?

Oh, I'm sorry. This makes me a bit sad (not your HHI, but your poor little guy. I think my little guy will be yours in 2 yrs!) Which school?

....and clearly has a lot of mommies that are "on" dcum. Take note and be cautious.

You will fit in nicely with the Norwood 'mommies' if you live in Potomac/Bethesda, have a HHI of $1M+, and have nothing else to do but hang around the school all day and bitch at the teachers until they bump your kids up to the 'top' reading/math group.

The fact that STA makes them play a sport during the "interview," was the first sign that STA would not be a good fit for my DS. The fact that all STA boys must wear blazers to school was the second sign. The third sign - the very thin envelope that arrived today. As another poster put it, should have just spent the application/testing fees on a nice brunch somewhere nice.

They make the boys play a sport during the interview? Do they are least let them pick which one they are to demonstrate? Did you know this before the interview? That seems odd.

Please take your axe elsewhere to grind it. That has not been my experience at all, nor has it been the experience of any of our friends.

~Norwood mom who does not live in MD, does not have an HHI of >$1M, and has never raised reading group with a teacher.

I'm loving what I'm hearing from these Norwood moms. My DS was accepted for K, and we are leaning heavily toward accepting. He was also accepted at WES.

Another Norwood parent here: DC resident with HHI <$1 million and no reading group issues.

What's wrong with blazers?
