No one said or implied what you stated. It's a fact that young women can get pregnant at that age. That's a biological fact. 25+ years later is a long time and can affect reproduction and fetal development. |
Not their first child. |
I feel sorry for you! My mom had her last baby at age 45 and the baby was the delight of our family with the older siblings all vying to care for and babysit. This youngest child also brought so much pleasure to my parents as they aged. |
Men can impregnate women at around the age of 15 or a little younger. To think that impregnating a woman 25 years later is going to be just fine is very naive. |
PP here. That's true, too! |
+1!! |
Huh? I have a friend who just got pregnant with her first at 42. No interventions, just sex with spouse. Seems like literally the most “natural” thing that could possibly happen? |
There's about a 5 to 10% chance of that happening naturally for a woman over 40. Happy for your friend. . |
Are women so self-centered that they can’t grasp that their offspring have different DNA than they do? The kid is not THEIR body. |
For the kid to be allowed to gestate and reside, there should be purely her own. Or do you think people who naturally get pregnant in their 40s should be forced by the state to abort? That’s your pro life angle? |

Are some people so self-centered that they think they should have any say in the reproductive choices of other people? |
| I’ve honestly seen the opposite - rejoicing when older women get pregnant, but despising men who become fathers over age 55. |
My mom had her two children after the age of 42. Both are doctors. Are you suggesting she should have not had children? |
No. I'm not suggesting anything. Just stating a fact in response to "all the time" poster. |
