I loved the way she was nervous and figuring out the best position to be in before she said “You may enter.” And then they kissed and he said we can take it slow and she literally demanded “Get undressed.” It was awesome!!! |
Quit trying to make fetch happen No one knows or cares about Pamela |
There's no Cinderella, either! Even a fluff thing like Bridgerton needs allusions. |
lol. +1 |
| I don’t like how they are making Eloise out to be this year. She was so interesting in prior seasons. |
I think it's a good character development arch. They are gearing up to make her think about getting married. She is also getting more defensive about not being married as former single women around her are getting married. I can't wait to see her story. |
Oh absolutely. But that’s true throughout history — the free love artist type is not as stable a choice as the one armed admiral or the boring business guy! |
I would actually love for Eloise to just stay on the shelf and develop her own career as a writer. And maybe have some occasional affairs with some socially inappropriate men (or even socially appropriate men trapped in socially appropriate marriages). I feel like that would be more historically accurate and truer to her character. But I get it’s not in keeping with the vibe of the show which is focused on the formula of hot sex and a beautiful wedding. |
I think they're just teeing her up for next season. But I agree, she's coming off more terrible than bored. |
Eloise gets married in the books. This show is a fantasy. They are not worried about historical accuracy. |
I’m guessing you’ve never read a historical romance novel. The reformed rake trope is very popular. |
It is the naughty little sister version of Call the Midwife, which is chaste sex and childbirth followed by a romantic wedding in the last episode. |
| I miss Cressida. |
and her hair weaves |
+1 also the modiste. |
