Bridgerton Season 4

I think Eloise is the new Whistledown. I think Penelope knew about it.

Don’t think so, it’s just part of the fantasy fun element.

I don't mind it as much when it's just detailing, but I found Michaela's red dress to be totally absurd and it completely took me out of it. It was so obviously a modern fabric and using modern techniques.

What about Araminta’s earrings? The ones that went all the way up her ear to the cartilage (they were black). I can’t believe those would have been around back then but admittedly I don’t know much about the period dress/styles.

Michaela annoys the hell out of me. Does she have a fake British accent?

There was a scene where Sophie left the room part dresses with her dress undone and I was thinking that, without zippers, it was nearly impossible to do up your dress yourself. She needed to ask him to help her with her dress before leaving. It’s why servants often wore baggy stuff that slipped over the head with then an apron or an overdress corset type thing that laced in front— and rich people needed dressers. You couldn’t do buttons on your back yourself and lacing wasn’t much better.

According to this website adorned ear cuffs were a thing for rich people in that period:

She’s actually supposed to be Scottish – none of the Kilmarks have anything close to a Scottish accent.

She has been purposely made very awkward. I don’t think she is that bad but it will be boring for a season.

+1 quite obviously She’s a Neurodiverse lesbian.

His lack of neck does it for me.

I'm hoping for a Young Violet season like we got with the Queen. Feels like they set us up for one, no?

Except she loved John fiercely. They were made for each other. I don’t get how all of a sudden she will become a lesbian. Ridiculous.

Interesting! But didn’t Araminta’s look too modern?

She loved being accepted for her quirks, not feeling like the odd one out. Its like when you have a best friend who you click with and its your platonic soulmate. She never orgasmed with him. She can love him yet not be straight.

The show is not meant to be a true period piece. Odd that her ear cuffs bother you but not the song choices or diverse "ton". Not of that is realistic.
