There’s a brief scene at the beginning of episode 4 that tells you he is indeed still bisexual.

I wonder if he will share this with Sophie.

Is this a storyline in the book?

Because in season 3, it felt like a pointless addition to the plot that added zero to the story or the character development.

I wondered the same.

Anyway, ep 1 was decent I thought.

Season 4 hits just about every Romance trope. But the actors are charismatic so I thought it worked.

Honestly I think the actor who played Colin just lacked charisma. You just wondered what Penelope saw in him. The actor who plays Benedict has more charm so I'm more optimistic.

+1 yes! Colin is sort of a bore.

They had zero chemistry as a couple, impossible to care about them.

Season 3 was soooo bad. I tried really hard but I couldn't finish it.

It felt like it was written by an illiterate dude who likes porn and thinks he knows why women enjoy watching. It was awful.

The costumes were ugly.

The random sister who got written back into the show and her beaux were unwatchable. Who wants to watch boring awkward people sit around and say nothing.

Penelope and Colin had all the chemistry of someone having to kiss their sister. They are boyh better actors than the romance that was written by the screen writers.

The random secondary story line about the boxer was just thrown in pointlessly.

The interesting characters were all reduced to cameos.

Benedicts story was gratuitous and unnecessary as written.

The only interesting storyline worth watching was Penelope and that old rich guy.

Season 3 was a huge disappointment and so poorly written/developed.

It made me less eager to watch future Bridgerton series. With the other ones, I binged watched them strait through.

Has the series run its course?

Yes I did not get the "quiet" love couple at all. At least they are both hot.

NP. I read Benedict's book. It was dull. It's just a "Cinderella" rescue the mystery poor girl story.

My take on Benedict's sexuality is that it is simply extra wokeness/sexiness to jazz up the story. It probably works for some. And they've hinted heavily they're going to LGBT up the dull sister who found the quiet husband.

I have liked all the seasons and the Queen Charlotte prequel. However, they have a bit too much depicted sex for me. Like that scene where Anthony's bare butt is shown because he's banging his actress mistress in the park. (Was that Anthony?) I also don't like the subplot about the affair between Lady Danbury and grandpa Bridgerton. Just unnecessary. Too much spice. The club-owning couple became popular characters so now we are going to have their romantic life on display too.

This show is nothing without the sex.

She's not straight, that's what is going on. They gender bent her love interest from the book.

Compared to Heated Rivalry, this show is boring. I used to like Bridgerton, but after the smoldering hot men and intimacy of HR, this feels like the Temu version.

PP. Disagree. I like the cross-cultural casting and think the actors do a good job of selling this fantastical alternative England. I think the costumes and jewelry are lovely. The music covers are amusing. I enjoy Regency tropes and some of the story revisions are positive additions. I just don't need to see bare asses pumping away. It's embarrassing when my kids are at home.

Wow. Just watched Episode 1. Benedict and Sophie had so much chemistry. Now this is what I’ve waited for! Anthony and Kate in Season 2 were just god awful. Penelope and Colin were a joke. But this is real. I have a feeling it’s going to rival or top season 1.

And they did showcase his bisexuality already. I’m loving this!!!

I love how Penelope’s baby looks just like her. Like down to the striking eye color and hair.

I like Antony and Kate but agree about the chemistry between Benedict and Sophie. Best so far, imo.

I read the series after the first season and do not remember anything bi-ish.

Some of us are happy without the incessant simulations of explicit sex acts, thanks.

I thought her mom called the little boy Lord Featherington. How can that be? I didn't think girls could inherit and thought it was her sister's child b/c didn't one of the sisters marry the dude who got the estate?

This show is based on bodice-ripper romances. The sex is necessary.
