Not these days. People are not as sophisticated in thinking as they once were. Troll epic win. |
The sign? Racist. The creator of the sign? Likely not, but so intense in her extreme left wing values that she did not even consider that when she wrote it. Do you know what is racist about the sign? She is comparing the trans movement to the civil rights movement. She has not considered that this is apples and oranges. The trans movement--at best--is based on something that is, in the opinion of many, child abuse. (This protest was about "trans children." Adults can do as they please, but please stay out of locker rooms. The science behind it is flawed and Europe is now walking back their support of it. The civil rights movement was based on human rights. Big difference. In fact, the trans movement is, in the opinion of many, trampling the human rights of others--particularly women's right to privacy. |
You are blind to some of the history of very ugly racism in the Democratic Party, I think. I see no reason whatsoever to assume this woman isn’t a rabid racist. The fact is that she showed up to a rally against a Black female candidate with a sign that she’d never have shown to a white male candidate. Occam’s Razor here dictates that she is a rabid racist, not that she is not one, based on her own actions. Just because you personally like her stance on trans rights doesn’t mean you should leave your brain behind. The evidence here is not favorable. (And it is bizarre to take the stance that somehow supporting trans rights makes one magically antiracist.) |
| For those of you taking the stance that this sign is perfectly fine and not at all racist, do you believe the same sign would have appeared at a rally against a conservative white male candidate? |
EXACTLY I also said the sign is a mistake. People who continue to harp on this mistake have bad intentions. Most are MAGA POSs. |
| The sign requires to many non-explicit logical connections for OP to understand it. |
No, maybe they are just black people who are tired of the Dem. Party taking them for granted and using them only as props in arguments to support Trans people, immigrants, and gay people. There is a black female employment crisis that is in part due to Trump’s policies, for example. Have Dems talked about this?.No. |

This situation right here is why I hate both parties and politics. The sign is offensive and wrong in so many ways. Everyone should know it is, it’s 2025 for crying out loud. That should be the end of the discussion. But no, how about this and how about that. How can I spin this to support my point of view?
I am with no party but the pizza party because both of them suck. And this sign and most of the reactions on this thread are right there with them. |
+1 there is a reason Black women haven’t been showing up to this stuff this time around. I’m over it. I’m still a liberal and I will still vote Spanberger, but some of y’all act like insufferable know it alls. |
It will certainly be interesting to see how the polls move after this, might not be enough to sway the election but the race is certain to continue to get closer. |

The sign is not racist. It is inherently against racism. That's the whole point. If you don't want trans people in your bathroom then you are saying whites can say they don't want POC drinking out of their water fountain. She is saying, "Can't you see how wrong this is??"
Only MAGAs would spin this to make her look racist. Your POC old lady candidate is going to lose. |
Not "POC". She said "blacks". |
Well I'm not her. |
