I know plenty of young adults that have turned down the opportunity to work in Jefferies office because of his ties to AIPAC. But let’s be real. The party let him become minority leader because it’s ceremonial. When they win back the house it will be Jamie Raskin and I’m on board with that! |
All I see is Biden, Biden, Biden..... Biden is retired and no longer an influence on the Dem Party. The modern day Dem Party is the party of Obama and Clinton and their stances on immigration laws and protocols were nothing like what you describe above. Feel free to waste your time hating on the irrelevant and retired Biden all you want. Dems have moved on and are a full election cycle ahead of the GOP in getting rid of their elderly and unfit POTUS. |
The Dems are toast when the only honest politician left in Congress is Thomas Massie. |
Simply being against everything Trump has said and fine will be sufficient. I predict a Democrat tsunami rivaling the 2018 election. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/democrats-smash-watergate-record-house-popular-vote-midterms-n940116 |
The GOP is corrupt top to bottom. Dems need to run on one thing: the lack of competence in the current admin. This administration is screwing everything up. Focus on how much instability and uncertainty the Trump has brought to the economy. |

From the Wealth Tax thread - "wealth taxes are unconstitutional!!!"
Are you sure? A wealth tax could be classified as an excise tax rather than a direct tax, meaning it wouldn't require apportionment among the states. Some legal scholars have already argued that taxing unrealized capital gains or financial transactions falls within Congress’s broad taxing power under the Sixteenth Amendment, which allows taxation on income without apportionment. Additionally, precedents show that the Supreme Court has historically interpreted tax classifications flexibly, leaving room for a wealth tax to be structured in a way that aligns with constitutional requirements. |
Yes! Let's go! Tax the billionaires! If you can afford a second private jet, second yacht, or a 3rd and 4th mansion you sure as hell can pay more in taxes. Stop whining and help pay for the things in this country that let you be so rich in the first place. |
Waltz is giving speech in south carolina.
seems to know that working people abandoned the democrats but like most Democrats has absolutely nothing to offer and will not limit the immigration. as long as Democrats allow overwhelming immigration they will continue to lose. |
Democrats have moved on? Not a single Democrats has advocating for reducing the overwhelming immigration. not a single one. |
This right here. It embodies the clueless embrace of all things "woke." This is what led to Trump's win, and it will be the dems' undoing in 2026 as well. They have to end their elitist hold on these weird ultraprogressive ideals that 90% of the country just don't believe. |
You realize that unrealized capital gains are not income, right? Do you even know that that means? If the dems try to ram that through, then they will truly be over. The first thing the dems need to do is start explaining where all their wealth is coming from? Until there is transparency from AOC, Warren, Schumer, and the others, people will not come back. They are fraudsters and the people just don't trust them anymore. |
No. They don't realize that because they want to grab your retirement savings. Sure, it may not be in "retirement" funds, but some people still plan on retiring without poverty and invest rather than spend on expensive trips, etc. People used to save for their "old age." But, with Social Security (which was only intended as a safety net) they think they don't need to prepare for retirement. |
Either the border will be secure and comprehensive immigration/asylum law reform will be passed and enacted by 2028 or Trump will have once again failed to come through on his number one campaign promise. If overwhelming immigration is an issue in 2028, it will be the GOP's problem. Try to keep up. 2024 is behind us. Ths GOP has all the power to succeed or fail with. |
