America dislikes Democrats more than Trump. That is incredibly damning.

Border: sensible enforcement without cruel and unusual punishment, splitting families, or targeting political speech.

Tariffs: repeal and return to the negotiated rates from the Biden administration

Taxes: return to the rates we had under Clinton, when the budget was actually balanced. Sensible entitlement reductions (eg shifting full retirement age to 70). Adult budget process so Treasury auctions remain successful.

Social justice: this is a buzzword that doesn’t translate to national policy.

DEI: focus on equality of opportunity for all Americans rather than selectively persecuting minorities by firing them from Federal service. Restore the DOJ enforcement of civil rights

Russia/Ukraine: work with Europe to continue containing Russian aggression.

Energy: get out of the way of market-based decarbonization of energy supplies, by not artificially propping up coal and petroleum.

EVs: better infrastructure for charging and upgrades to the electrical grid so we can keep up with China and other 21st century economies, and not be stuck as a relic of the 20th century as desired by Republicans.

Now we're talking. Keep up the dialogue. Democrats and Republicans need to work together to forge a moderate path forward for America.

not going to work. We need more. The weekly show with Hohn Stewart had some nuggets. For example, on immigration - there is a certain about this country needs to help support social security and fill jobs Americans won’t do. Quantify that and don’t shy away from it. What Biden allowed on immigration was just dumb (we now know why) but Trump is overcorrecting.

They really don't. This is a widely misunderstood and misused poll result. That reflects Democrat voters who want them to be doing more to fight the moron-in-chief. Democrats have been overperforming and Republicans underperforming every election since the senile old fool was elected.

I agree healthcare could be a winning message. But that involves Dems looking carefully at Obama care and changing what isn’t working. When I hear Dems talk about healthcare they focus on coverage. Coverage was promised to be important to bring costs down. That hasn’t happened. Let’s figure out why!

“Democracy” is why too conceptual a message.

Don’t we know why- for profit companies are making mad money. Also we are still subsidizing for uninsured Walmart type workers.

A new economic pricing plan that takes into account forward thinking energy costs and the cost of human labor.

Making CEO pay tied to a percentage of worker pay and giving ALL workers stock rights to a company after a vestment period.

This is true, but right now fighting Trump has to be the focus because he’s doing irreparable harm. In 2026 the outage might be enough to win elections, hopefully by 2026 the courts will have gotten him under control a little bit and we can work on prospective messaging more.
