| I think anyone should feel welcome to join non gendered classes. I’m glad more men are expressing an interest in Pilates. It’s a great form of exercise. If you want female or male only spaces, then go to those or create your own. But if you go to a shared space, that’s what it is. |

Sigh. I just looked this up on TikTok and it’s not a thing. There is one video that has like 200 views. The rest of videos under “solid core men” are all videos of women taking their boyfriends to solid core classes.
So basically someone wrote an article about one TikTok and now it’s a “thing”. Most women don’t GAF if men go to those classes or not. Although the dude here who claims to be a movie star and wants to go fart in one on purpose is weird. Small d!ck energy, dude. Same type of guy who would go into a women’s bathroom because “men can go in now hahahaha!” |
\ It's absolutely a thing. The tiktok search algorithm isn't great- for example, if you look up "My Shayla" which was a massively trending sound like with tens of thousands of videos made to that noise, you'll get the same kind of results: a long list of videos with hundreds of views. That's just how the algorithm works- you can have multiple videos made with millions of views but the search function doesnt put them at the top. If you were actually on Tiktok (the girl side, at least) you would know that this discussion has been happening for a while now and women are getting more and more vocal about it |
Sure, and you fart and smell everywhere you go. Clearly a grade A winner and cool guy. Hard to figure out how you even have the time and energy to squat for hours on a mommy forum arguing with women half your age and fantasizing about disrupting their yoga studios. |
Post links to some, then. |
What am I, your secretary? No thanks. If you dont want to believe the article and cant figure out how to navigate Tiktok then that's your issue. |
I read the article. She links to 2 TikToks, one of which is gone, one of which has only 90k views and 200 comments, and quite frankly was posted by a woman no man is looking at (very fat) and says nothing about what men do, it’s literally 6 seconds of “if I see a man my day is ruined”. The only other sources are a couple Reddit posts from guys, one of which was deleted, the other one was a post about how a woman moved after he sat down. Sorry but this is bad journalism. If you can’t back it up with actual evidence, then you’re just complaining about something that doesn’t really exist. If there were THAT many TikToks about it, SOME would show up in the search results regardless of how bad the search function is. Or the author could have simply scrolled a bunch until they found some. More troubling to me is how many people read an article with zero credibility and immediately believe it. Sounds like a small handful of women posted a video they thought would get views through being controversial, then deleted them from the backlash, and it stopped being a thing very quickly. Now we have an ragebait article designed to also stir up controversy where there is none. |
The fact that you think this woman's sexual desirability to men is at all relevant to the points she was making is *exactly* why we want you out of our spaces. Newsflash: no one cares what gets your flaccid pee-pee hard. Also, no one cares whether you cant figure out how to navigate Tiktok, whether it's because youre too old and out of the loop, just bad at technology in general, etc. Tiktok is geared towards young people anyway so it's probably a design feature that you've been unable to find more of the Tiktoks so you could presumably harass the creators and neg them about how you're not attracted to them 🥱 (also men will generally sleep with anything so we dont believe you) |
I’m a woman and I work in social media, so I’m on TikTok daily. It’s not that hard to find things on TikTok. The article itself even mentions there are no videos and speculates they were scrubbed. Which is unlikely, it’s just that nobody is really making those videos. Also, the woman in that video made zero points. She said her day is ruined and that’s it. Did you even watch it? It’s just another ragebait article, and it’s working, seeing how upset you are. |
There are hundreds of videos about this, hence the point of the article. I love that you've delved into some kind of conspiracy mindset where you think some writer at the Cut entirely made up a tiktok trend for no reason whatsoever. And if you really do work in social media have been this unsuccessful at finding a fairly popular trending topic, then that's a very sad statement about your competency at your job. Literally a quick scroll would point you to many popular videos about this (and there is no conspiracy from NY mag writers to make up trends that dont exist )

The 2.2mm earning high schooler post? |
| There was mention of woman only classes. Are there men only yoga or pilates classes? I can only imagen that men only classes would be empty but, if there are men only classes, are they well attended? |
I’m a woman who prefers wearing pads to tampons for various reasons, and the risk of small leaks is one reason I don’t want a man in my yoga class. I don’t see why I should be forced to wear tampons so that some men can join my exercise class. And which woman could honestly say that she’s not more embarrassed to release gas during a yoga class with men than with all women? |
It would be fart ridden and would need a sound proof room. |
Then you should probably seek out all women classes. |
