I’m the opposite of a liberal SJW but I did enjoy feeling that the class was a “safe space” in a way and now it’s not. I don’t enjoy random men having their faces up my butt or worse. We didn’t worry about letting out gas or the outline of thick pads in our yoga pants when we’re on our period etc. I can see that there should be classes available to men but there should also be female only classes available.
Ok, so why would that change if there’s a dude there? Focus on yourself, your breathing and your posture. Also who wears a pad to yoga?
NP. What? Why on earth wouldnt you wear a pad to yoga?
Also a NP because it would slide around and potentially allow a leak. You must not be a woman.
I’m a woman who prefers wearing pads to tampons for various reasons, and the risk of small leaks is one reason I don’t want a man in my yoga class. I don’t see why I should be forced to wear tampons so that some men can join my exercise class. And which woman could honestly say that she’s not more embarrassed to release gas during a yoga class with men than with all women?
Then you should probably seek out all women classes.
NP. So basically most pilates and yoga classes until men started invading? Why do you always feel it is your right to make women uncomfortable and women have to adjust themselves around you?
You're choosing to be uncomfortable. That is a YOU issue. THey are there to exercise just like you.
Signed,
a woman
No, THEY are choosing to invade women's spaces. And women are speaking out about it and standing up for themselves, and making people uncomfortable right back. If that bothers you, that's a YOU issue. Get over it.
IT IS NOT a woman's space. Your entitled attitude doesn't make it so. The class is offered to
everyone. They signed up and attended just like you. Get over yourself, princess.
It IS and has always been women's spaces, whether it was labeled as such or not. A barbershop, for example, is a men's space, and there doesn't need to be a "men only" sign on the door for everyone to know that. Your lack of basic comprehension and acknowledgement of this fact is not anyone else's problem. And that's why women are pushing back.
If a class is offered to everyone it is de facto NOT a WOMAN'S ONLY SPACE. Your analogy is idiotic. Barber shops don't turn women away if they want a haircut. No barbershop has a "men only" sign at the door. You're making shit up and think you sound smart. If you want to attend a women's only class, more power to you. Go petition your gym and have them create a class for women only. Screaming how men are disgusting on DCUM accomplishes nothing other than making you sound extremely bigoted and dumb.
That's absolutely absurd. Of course there are gendered spaces that are not explicitly labelled as such. If there is a place that is 99.99% a certain gender, then yes, it's de facto a gendered space whether there is a sign on the door or not. A male barbershop, for example. Or a beauty salon, or a pilates studio, etc. Only an idiot would claim these places arent gendered.
But, one thing that the girlies seem to agree with you on, is the need for making these places EXPLICITLY gendered. And I suspect they will be opening up more and more spaces ONLY for women as a response to these male invasions. Because women dont want to be around men (excluding pickmes like yourself, if you truly are one and arent a male larping on here).
You sound extremely uneducated, misogynistic, and borderline incoherent.
