And this exactly why women are disgusted by the men and speaking up more and more and making the men uncomfortable and making it clear that they dont like them. for many of these men it's a fetish.

I wouldn't call it a fetish, really. It's more that if me being me grosses you out, well then I might as well get some pleasure out of it and enjoy your discomfort. See you in class.

Trust me, women are having the last laugh when it comes to men like you.

Maybe some are, but not the fat, saggy middle aged ones like you.

NP. What a sad lonely incel loser you sound like

6ft 2, movie star looks, made 2.2 last year. Wife is a stunner and managing partner of a DC law firm. Kid 1 is a D1 athlete and Kid 2 is being recruited as we speak. True story but call troll if it makes you feel thinner.

All those things going for you yet you’re still insufferable.

The opposite, actually. Glad it irks you. I wouldn't even let you blow me.

This seems like a lot of identifying info which is why I’ll politely say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

oh goodness, all that and you lost out on the humility component.

If women want women-only spaces why not just go to a women’s-only gym? I haven’t done classes since before Covid (cxld my membership and just do it at home now), and there were rarely men in the classes, but the ones who did join were very respectful. I get the reasoning of wanting these women only spaces, but you can’t dictate who is and isn’t allowed just bc you feel like it. If the gym/class/etc allows it, suck it up.

I’m the opposite of a liberal SJW but I did enjoy feeling that the class was a “safe space” in a way and now it’s not. I don’t enjoy random men having their faces up my butt or worse. We didn’t worry about letting out gas or the outline of thick pads in our yoga pants when we’re on our period etc. I can see that there should be classes available to men but there should also be female only classes available.

Ok, so why would that change if there’s a dude there? Focus on yourself, your breathing and your posture. Also who wears a pad to yoga?

Lifting most of my life, running most of my life, very active, etc etc. There is no NEED for a man to go to yoga or pilates class other than to ogle women. I would have to guess that like 9 out of 10 guys that go are perverts. Everything you can do in a class, you can do at home. I do tons of mobility work at home. Now that I'm getting older, I'm actually focusing on more mobility work than weights. Guys...give the women their space. Find a girlfriend or wife that you like to look at.

I disagree with this 100%. There is so much value to doing class work vs just at home. And I’m the pp who only does it at home now. It’s not the same and it’s not as good.
This post also comes off like projection. “9/10 guys that go to yoga are perverts who are just checking out women” - maybe you think that way because that how you act? Unable to be in the same place as women without ogling? Many men are capable of being respectful, but apparently you aren’t one and don’t know any. And that’s pretty sad!

I wish men could be banned from all public spaces in general.

Also a NP because it would slide around and potentially allow a leak. You must not be a woman.

Men DO belong in traditionally women only fitness classes.
My husband is a weight lifter. Yoga, especially hot yoga, is a wonderful complimentary exercise, same for runners too.

Anonymous wrote:I do 90 minute hot yoga - what used to be called bikram. Probably a quarter of a typical class is men. But they are clearly there for the workout. Occasionally, but not very often, some bros may show up - more back when Groupon was a thing. But they never come back. If you're not used to bikram, that first class can be a shock. I think the more intense workout yoga classes as well as the really meditative classes only attract men who are serious about their workout or their practice. I've never seen any questionable behavior. I don't know anything about pilates. My friend calls it her middle aged woman exercise class, so I guess there's a type, and I can see it being weird if men show up to something that is so overwhelmingly female. But difficult yoga and meditative yoga seem totally fine to me and welcoming of everyone who takes it seriously.

Hot yoga next to a man is the worst.

The little pools of sweat they leave everywhere 😫

Hot yoga is just gross in general. I do the class after hot yoga. The teacher has to mop the floor and the people come out half-naked. You can't hold down dog when you are slip-sliding all over your mat.

I’m a woman. I am shaking my head that a yoga teacher wrote this. Guess what- I sweat and yes time to time I pass gas - these are basic human functions triggered by exercise and certain positions. But thank you to all the women on this thread now making ME feel unwelcome in yoga and pilates classes.
