My best pilates teacher is a man, a ballet dancer from Cuba. |
Yeah I take both pilates and floor barre over zoom with ballet east and ballet art in NYC, half of the most distinguished faculties are men. They are also physically bigger making it easier to see body placement over zoom. |
lol what the hell… |
| Men do not belong in Yoga, Pilates, or Zumba. These need to all be women-only spaces!! |
What is the fresh h*ll has happened to this thread. But yeah, I am not following how having a man in a class influences your choice of pad or tampon. Do you think they care? Why would you be more embarrassed around a man than a woman in a yoga class? Women don’t want to hear your farts or get whiffs of your soaked menstrual pads either. But whatever, you are free to do what you want. But your period choices shouldn’t be influenced one way or the other whether there are men or women in the class |
“Six feet” was entirely made up. |
it’s not misandry
It’s equity. |
| If it was switched around a man said not to have women lifting weights in gym or whatever, they’d be called sexist or whatever. Yoga is good for guys, too |
What are you talking about? There is no sexism here. It’s simply equity. Men already have a near monopoly on male-centered spaces; they hardly need to be invading ours! |
| You realize both yoga and pilates are men's workouts right? Literally invented by men, for men. You're appropriating a culture that's not for you, once again. There literally cannot be a pilates class where a man doesn't belong, it is his workout. |
