And I say this is as someone who has lived in several countries whose leadership was outright authoritarian or had authoritarian tendencies, including two democratic countries that went through a period of dictatorship before restoring democracy. It never will. If they acknowledge that Musk is gaining unprecedented access to personal data and trillions of dollars they'll say it's good bc Musk is a smart businessman.
