Musk trying to access to US Treasury

How is this happening? No one elected Musk, he wasn’t properly hired to be in the government and he hasn’t had a background check. Has someone filed suit? Will any republicans emerge from their stupor of blindly following Trump and fearing Musk-funded primary challengers to actually do their job and protect their constituents (and our country)?

So what if someone files a lawsuit and wins? Who is going to do anything about it? Who will enforce the ruling? A court can say DOGE isn't allowed in the Treasury to stop payments. Trump will just say it is his order then demand the military accompany doge into the facility.

Of course but have you just given up? We need people with power to dfight back. We have very few routes since trump has corrupted so much of America but we can’t give up yet.

What power? Congress is under subjugation by Trump. They can't impeach him. The supreme Court is stacked. Even if the SC ruled against Trump, who'd enforce it? The literal playbook of 2025 is to ignore theaw, because the supreme court are a bunch of judges who have no ability to actually enforce the law. What's the FBI gonna do now that there are mass layoffs and his puppet Patel in charge. Trump has control over the military.

Americans have no idea how boned they are. Democracy is gone. We are now a dictatorship. Shock and awe worked. They dismantled the constitution in a matter of weeks. Even if Trump is stopped or slowed, he can't be prosecuted anyway because the SC just ruled he has immunity.

If you create a new govt agency, doesn’t it habit to become a cabinet position? Yes, how is this possible. All of the other agencies have heads approved by Congress. Why did DOGE bypass this?

Trump claims DOGE is just a "rebranding" of the USDS, therefore it doesn't need any congressional approval. It is a slight of hand. That way he can appoint anyone he wants into an entity that "already exists".

Access to the system has historically been closely held because it includes sensitive personal information about the millions of Americans who receive Social Security checks, tax refunds and other payments from the federal government.”

In other words, Musk and his cohorts will have sensitive information about most of us.

Further, if you even tangentially receive money from the government, in, say the form of a tax return, Musk could just decide not to give that to you.

And who will stop him? The DOJ? Congress?
