We could save a lot of money by cutting a lot of fed contactors as well. |
Guess what. We're running out of runway. The INTEREST on the national debt is $1 Trillion/year and it's only going up. That's 4X your government officials salaries. Got it? This was all predicted decades ago. Now it's happening. Everyone can sense an epic sh1* storm is on the way. |
Federal government waste is not a staffing issue; it’s a statutory issue. There probably ARE programs that need elimination but CONGRESS needs to revisit the laws that created those programs to begin with. |

There are lots of do nothing federal contracting executives in the DC metro getting rich off government taxpayer dollars. |
There's a lot of management overhead and layers of mgmt that would never be missed. Their main job is to guard turf and push promotions. |
Hey guess what - TRUMP blew up the debt. That cannot be denied. |
Yes. Federal positions get eliminated and then to get the work done contractors are hired to take their place and the contractors cost way more money. It’s scandalous. |
I would like to cut the military. What say you? |
Yes please. - Republican |
I would also but fed.gov first. We always start with the military and then forget about all the useless federal agencies. BRAC occurs every five years. HHS, HUD, and EPA would be right at the top of my list. DOL and DOJ not far behind. And I hope Trump cans a bunch of political feds via the spoils system. |
Why would Republicans who believe in smaller government want to move government jobs out across the US? It’ll just make it harder when they inevitably want to slash those jobs. You’ll get Repubkican politicians pushing back at any RIFs of their constituents. |
Any guesses who they’re supporting for president? |
Fed and contractor family and I'd love if we had to move. We won't because one of us has to show up on the Hill regularly, but man we'd much rather be elsewhere. |
Military IS federal. |
