Nah, it was Silverman’s push poll. |

Does anyone know why Frumin even ran? What motivates the guy? It doesn't seem like much that is actually of concern to the Ward. Is he interested in holding on to his seat? I can't even tell. Maybe if I could, I could figure out how to get through to him on crime.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR HIM? |
Someone told me he once ran for congress from Michigan. Maybe he likes to so-called prestige of elected office |
So-called for sure He does have an office with SEVEN people working for him though. (I counted). I have no impression of what he's done in that office though. Maybe he just likes having an office like you said.

| Full congressional control. |

Recall campaigns can be launched in January. There is a specific window when a campaign can take place. It can't be in the first year of a term or the last year.

Here's the result, though it's unclear to me whether it's for a federal or state race: https://www.opensecrets.org/races/candidates?cycle=2000&id=MI11&spec=N |
Uhh no. I mean, yes local DC government needs to get their sh*t together or get voted out, but that doesn't mean I want the disaster of congress ruling us. GOP is a public embarrassment at the moment and can't even agree on a Speaker, let alone sorting out oversight of DC, a place they barely spend any time beyond their office and a few select federal buildings and traveling back to their home states. Congressional oversight would be an operationally worse nightmare. |
I hear you, but it wasn't bad for the city the last time; I think it would be fine. I'm a DC native, love this city, and I'd be fine with it. It's not like the totally run the city, it's oversight. We need it. It's that or ranked voting for me. It's really impossible to vote these fools out without ranked voting, so without that, then oversight! |
|
^ Let me say that better:
"Throw the fools out! "It's impossible!" "What about ranked voting?" "Long shot!" "Congress, HELP!" To me it's really one or the other at this point. The status quo is unacceptable. People are dying. |
| Probably 99% of you don’t even live in DC. |
Congress couldn’t even give us reliable garbage collection the first time they controlled the city. Now you want Congress to take over when those morons can’t even elect a speaker. You people are living in a fantasy world. DC needs to address the mentally ill. The number of crazy people has skyrocketed since Covid. |
Do we have reliable anything now? Someone said 911 wasn't picking up. Yes to mentally ill, but can that be done city level? Or is that a federal issue? Letting everyone out was on that level. How do we get people back in for treatment. I'm all for the city addressing this. But how? |
I absolutely live in DC. I invested in this city. I decided to raise my kids here. Now I’m filled with regret as they are in danger and it is too late for me to move them. I was full pro statehood three years ago, and I would have gotten a DC tattoo if I could ever pull the trigger on it. Now I’m full of regret and fear because of the absolutely dangerous policies whereby victims are punished and aggressors are lauded and excused. I’m so ashamed to have been a part or this. |
Healthcare is most certainly a DC responsibility. |
