There’s no pleasing you all. It’s been 70 years since the last coronation. You’d all be screaming bloody murder if they went out and got more furs to make new robes. The colors represent the Union Jack, and ladies of the peerage traditionally wear white underneath their robes. There also used to be a portion of the coronation where when the king was crowned, the peers would then put on their coronets and the ladies would do so when the queen was crowned. None of that was going on. Sophie also didn’t wear a tiara.

Not true, I would be pleased by abdication and the end of the monarchy! They can wear whatever stupid outfits they want to the the abdication and I won't say a word about how pompous and ridiculous and anachronistic they look.

At a coronation... eh, they can suck it up while I make fun of their silly clothes.

Jill looks great. The suit fits nicely. I think others criticizing it were looking at a bad angle. The color is beautiful.

Not a fan of the granddaughter’s outfit. Is that the one that just got married recently in the White House? Clearly this shade of yellow was the “it” color as this is the third time we’ve seen it. Pippa wore it best.

Jill’s outfit looks better here than getting out of the car, but still biting and no real style.

I totally disagree about the granddaughter- I think she looks beautiful, the outfit is different and totally appropriate, and she just looks young and fresh. A win in my book.

Yes, she is old and plain but that's not a hurdle in today's age for a woman of wealth.

Um..for the coronation - I dont think she had a big choice of dresses. Just like Kate with all the robes.
