I wonder if any similar couples or their acquaintances are thinking it's about them. This MIL to be has an attitude as predictable as sunrise, we've seen it over and over in mixed race relationships. She will also work through her prejudices and they'll likely end up with a great relationship if they bite their tongue and get to know their know son's girlfriend.
