I already posted the meta post today. This thread was number 3. Absolutely eclipsed by a thread in Family Relationships that had twice as many posts.

Why isn’t there a report button on your meta posts?/s I’m curious about this feedback thread. How many are repeat snarky posters? This is my second post. First was supportive of OP. I eventually read yesterday’s summary. You gave a fair summary of the OP, but then accused her of being a troll. Why? There was only one poster who declared troll in the OP. Most of the comments were benign. Honestly, the thread was a nothingburger, and wasn’t really worthy of a recap. IIRC, there was a poster in OP who wanted to know what a child would look like if parents were a mix of Caucasian/blue eyed and South Asian/Indian decent. You assumed it was OP asking, but I don’t think it was. Regardless, why does it matter?

You’ve been much kinder in the past. I’ve been much kinder, too. There’s a new crop of belligerents on your site. I’m not on as often because it’s become tedious and disjointed. I don’t report much. I skip to last page, another thread, or leave. Much respect to you for a great site. We’ll agree to disagree on the treatment of OP. Be the gentleman you’ve always been. Much better look.

I'll try to answer as many of your questions as I can. I don't know how many repeat snarky posters are participating in this thread and don't want to take the time to find out. I didn't exactly accuse the OP of being a troll. What I wrote was, "The troll/not troll scales got tipped a bit further in the direction of 'troll'". I didn't make clear in my summary, but I received multiple reports asking if that thread was a troll. There have been a bunch of threads involving Indians, especially in the relationship forum. Some posters believe they are all, or at least mostly, meant to be anti-Indian. Others think they are just clueless white people. Regardless, threads involving Indians tend to get reported either for trolling or for being anti-Indian. That one got reported for suspected trolling. The comment about what a baby might look like was from the OP. There were two replies to that comment suggesting that the poster was a troll. I assumed that most posters would guess that was posted by the OP. Your comment makes me think I was wrong. If I did something to deserve the OP's anger, it was probably revealing that she had made that comment. I don't choose which threads are included in my daily posts. I run a data base query to determine which threads received the most replies the day before. Many times I don't think the threads deserve coverage either and that is reflected in my commentary.

I’m the original poster, the clueless mum you continue to cyberbully instead of just deleting all of this.

I have to chime in because I think you’re taking advantage of my absence to mislead and gaslight in an effort dig yourself out of this hole, which has exposed you as an unethical bully who won’t hesitate to casually and cruelly break precedent, dox, and smear “anonymous” parents who post here.

I reported my own thread for removal *before* I made this thread. Twice, I believe. To be clear, I created the original thread with the full intention I would ask for it to be removed—per your forum’s well-established precedent—because it’s a touchy subject, I didn’t want to offend anyone, I figured there would be some personal attacks no matter how delicate I tried to be, and I didn’t want to dox my family to satisfy my own indulgent curiosity.

I would have reported it the night prior but I thought someone may post something insightful while I slept, so I figured I’d request its removal when I got a moment that next morning.

After you ignored the removal requests that morning, I saw your purposely cruel editorialized blog post and for sure wanted it gone because you were ridiculing me for content and highlighting a thread I asked to be removed. You broke precedent and ignored my requests so you could dox my anonymous post(s) and cyberbully me, a random mum, and smear me as a liar (“troll”), while you hide behind disingenuous “snark”. You also locked the thread to bolster your false smear that I’m a liar (“troll”) and made sure to note that in your disingenuous “summary” to create a false narrative and smear my character. For what, a cheap laugh? A few thousand extra clicks, which might make you a few bucks? That’s all your reputation is worth?

I want nothing to do with your forum. I will never post here again. I hope this thread is your most popular feedback ever so more kind people can read it and see your true devious nature and think twice about giving you “anonymous” content you’ll consider exploiting and cyberbullying them with. Great work eroding trust and integrity you built up over many years to stick it to me.

Wish you well. Goodbye.

This isn’t the airport. No need to announce your departure.

+10000000 DCUM's reputation?

I’m not sure that you’ve internalized the policy Jeff explained, OP. You started a thread. It became popular enough to reach the automated threshold to be in his blog. Once that happens the precedent is that the original thread isn’t deleted. So Jeff didn’t break precedent, didn’t ignore your request, and locked the thread to avoid further abuse as is also common precedent. So the only one objectively doing something unusual is you, OP, by persisting in complaining. That makes the rest of your accusations sound like unjustified grievance. Have you considered whether you might be overreacting here?

I feel like the only complaint with a modicum of validity was Jeff confirming that the OP was also the poster of the comment on future offspring. However, it's not the first time he's confirmed a comment was made by a specific poster.

OP's tirade has been very entertaining. There's no way they will actually leave without return.

I wish I would have been able to answer OP's original post. OP, my children (child of an Indian-American mom who has black hair and brown eyes and white man who has blue eyes and blond hair) have blue-gray eyes and brown hair, if that was your primary concern.

And that matters because???

Because she asked about it and by asking, it's clear that she wants to have white passing grandkids.

I’m just seeing this. But I don’t find anything offensive about the “blue eyed” comment at all from OP….

If you want to have control of your posts, you can create a username for posting and later edit the posts. I’m not sure you can delete them, but you can remove the content and put a filler in, so it’s almost the same. Otherwise, you’re at the mercy of others, so if you don’t want anyone to read your words, don’t write them. Problem solved.

People specify race or stand-ins like skin and eye color when they feel it is important to a discussion. Why did OP feel it was important?

Oh, c’mon. She means her kids aren’t just white but like.. WHITE white. Not mixed up “white” like so many people.

Where is OP’s thread about her potential mixed race children?
