False. Both will end up at schools to be proud of and I’m sure will be happy with their choices. They will lead better lives than the trolls on here. |
There is a HUGE difference in a girl going to Visitation and a girl going to public school. No ands, ifs or buts about that. The academic rigor at some (not all) private schools is so much harder. Hence the reason you’ll see Visi girls going to Norte Dame and public school girls going to JMU. |
Call me the next time Notre Dame wins the ACC championship or even a NCAA playoff game in lacrosse. Don’t flatter yourself Notre Dame is not an ivy, it’s not even Stanford. Is visi better than public? Sure why not you get what you pay for. |
Whats the huge difference besides the $35,000 you spend to make yourself feel like you're getting a better education? Also off the top of my head (and the Capital fandom here can help me) didn't public school girls on Cap Blue 2022 go to Georgetown, Bowdoin and Colby at a minimum? Get over yourself. |
Hey let me help you out. My daughter told me she could of sworn she saw visi girls at Pitt camps and JMU Camps. That’s has to be a mistake they would never attend such a lowbrow institutions. |

Again, if a player goes to visi or any private school and a girl goes to public school and they end up at the same college playing go for the same team, at that point, there is no difference. Both kids have a shot at making their college experience their own and carving off their own path. College is what you make of it whether you came from private or public schools. Private school parents gotta get over this stigma that they are so so better and on another level than others. Just because you pay for private school, doesn’t mean your child is guaranteed a spot at a top college.

Only difference is how much easier the freshman writing assignments and classes will be for the private school girls. It’s really sad how far public schools have sunk when it comes to teaching writing. |
Call me the next time a girl graduates from any college and makes a good living off of playing lacrosse. And since that’s the case, everything else being equal, a Notre Dame degree will get one a lot further than a JMU diploma. That’s the point people. It’s not about lacrosse. It’s about where you go and what you do after college. You go to college for a degree NOT for lacrosse bragging rights. GTFO. |
| Public school parent and proud of it. You know what’s awesome, when my daughter is attending an Ivy League school now and playing lax and the best part, I saved all that private school tuition. What was even more awesome, her essay was what put her over the top for admission to the school. I guess Fairfax county is not as crappy as the pp just stated. |
You’re obviously not from this area. If you were you’d never post anything like this. Because you’d know Visi had a very different reputation back in the day. The OG Visi alums know it. And they are far more humble about it. Especially those who send their kids there now. The alums I know would be horrified if they read what you’ve written here. Always funny to see Visi nouveau parents chest pound. I went to a DMV private school and send my kids to one now. I wouldn’t dare write anything remotely as elitist as what you’ve posted. My kids’ school doesn’t teach division. It doesn’t promote superiority. Neither did mine. Enjoy that ivory tower. The rest of our kids (private and public) will be killing it in the real world. |

| This is a ridiculous conversation about Visi. There are recent graduates of Visi and good players playing at Pitt and U Denver, none of which have Ivy on their halls. And the recent ND commit is a triple family legacy. She would have been accepted from any public HS as well. Similarly there are public school girls from Capital who have committed to Ivy League colleges. There are good smart girls in both public and private schools that can attend very high reputation colleges. |
Please. Let's not try to turn Visi into Exeter. |

OG,
Spill the tea - don't leave us hanging...What was Visi's reputation "back in the day"? |
