Seriously. I guess until 9/1 this thread will be worthless.

A lot of good early pre-reads on Capital 24 Blue is what I am hearing. Will be a busy September for Cap Blue.

VA Metro 24 not a good team and will ultimately fail in recruiting. Too many "rec" not qualified coaches on their staff and would never pay that money for my daughter to be coached by amateurs.

Most top players know who will be reaching out on 9/1. There are always a few surprises in either direction. But coaches are spending late August talking to club directors to finalize lists and figure out which players are really interested.

I don’t consider Mercer and Ferrum high.

NESCAC coaches were high on them this summer. Don’t rule out high academic D3.

Not ruling anything out. Simply saying one of the goalies will have her pick of schools.

Goalie is always tricky cause not every school takes one every year. Depends on coach philosophy. Some that have take goalies from 22 and 23 classes may not take a ‘24. (Also has to do with investing the scholly money in those years for goalie). Both should land somewhere, but it depends on who’s in the market.

Interesting that everyone is so careful not to call out individual field players in these threads but feel fully comfortable speaking very specifically about goalies.

This can't be emphasized enough. Lots of avg to above avg players in the DC area go through Stars then Capital and get to a big lacrosse school. They quickly find out what it's like to really compete.
