We are not at Bethesda. TBH my friend at Bethesda sent me this link telling about what p---y some of you are. And it's called lunch break for your info. I think you are just upset that your McLean team is bottom of the barrel right now. You got schooled in a scrimmage to a weak 2008 Bethesda team coached by an angry old man. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Isn't that sad that girls have to put up with it? And parents allow it. Can you imagine your boss yelling or making sarcastic comments to you like these coaches. Again, these aren't the only ones out there. SAC has some pretty horrible coaches on both the boys and girls side. Sometimes the women coaches can be worse then the men.

Agree. This would never be tolerated in the workplace. It's ABUSE. Particularly on Bethesda.

Oh man, I wish I would have waited one more minute to post so could tackle this too. Please tell that to the Military. Please.

As for the SAC parent. AW would also call you a p---y.

Perhaps you should enroll on a 10 year olds boys football team. Oh wait, they are probably already more of man than you.

Yes, it is perfectly healthy to treat 12 year old girls and boys like they are in the military.

You do realize that the military purposely dehumanizes young cadets in order to get them to follow orders without thinking right?

Of all the terrible false equivalencies posted on this topic yours is the dumbest. Congrats.

I think it would surprise you if you knew just how many here are not at McLean but build up your own narrative.

What a surprise that a fan of DG's style would resort to calling other people "pussies"

the Army takes 12 year old girls? So glad you are all for child abuse. Did you every play a sport or are you just living through your kid?

My man, you are straight up stupid stupid stupid. Throwing around the word child abuse. You don't know an f-n thing about child abuse. Not a f-n thing.

Yo, you also never played any sports so that's even funnier. I played sports all my life and constantly had a coach up my ass treating me like shit. Made me better. And I thanked them every day I was in the Armed Services.

Anyway, lunch break is over. But this thread gave me a good laugh. I do have one question before I go. When a kid screws up at McLean, does she then go like a safe space tent or some shit like that?

Exactly what you find on Bethesda. The attitude the culture, what a joke.

Oh Metro, LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Why don't you just say who? Our MD United coach is harder than the Bethesda 08 coach. Don't say FCV because I KNOW Bobby is just as hard. So please, tell me?

Anonymous wrote:Would you DG detractors be saying the same thing if this were a boys team? Sure, there’s a visceral reaction when you say “Older man screaming and belittling 12 year old little girls”, but would you have the same reaction if it were 12 year old boys? I don’t think so. Those of you so carelessly throwing around phrases like “abuser” and “Stockholm Syndrome” need to check your implicit gender biases, as well as your knowledge of what the cycle of abuse really means. If we want to achieve true gender equity in soccer and in the workplace, we need to stop having different standards and expectations for our “precious little girls” than we do for our “rough and tumble big boys”.

And, by the way, remember— there’s no such thing as bad press. All you haters are driving more and more attention to the Bethesda girls side. Thanks!

Actually I saw that same behavior on my DS's team and it wasn't great there either. But in the end the boys liked him and knew he was invested in them and in the team.

LOL so says the parent. So most parents have no clue how the coach is viewed by the players. Parents do not go to practice and really do not care as long as their kids stays on the team. I have seen kids fears/hate the coach but always say in the correct thing when asked. Why because they know the coach will retaliate against them. Most parents never ask(or care) what their kids think of the coach or if the coach is abusive. They only care about what the coach thinks of their kid and the kids know this.

My DS shared this after high school soccer was over so no fear of 'retribution". I am not excusing the behavior by any stretch, I was primarily pointing out that it was no more acceptable for boys as for girls, which is what the first poster above claimed.

You are the joke. I'm not even a Bethesda parent. But please keep on. Maybe MD United can take some more of Bethesda's kids. I keep telling my buddy to see the light. At least they will have some heart.

You quoted a Bethesda parent. It is that attitude that is being called out.

All that is required to change the subject is to post about something. You have this power inside of you.

Wrong again but it speaks volumes about equating worthiness of criticism regarding a non-soccer issue with success.

Because it might be DG himself trying desperately to defend himself.
